Shires Horse Pony Equine Ball Feeder Stable Toy Treat 9" Ball Blue

I'm so happy I decided on buying this ball. My boy is a cribber and it can be maddening sometimes b/c he won't even eat hay, because it's more fun to crib. I bought this and a wall hanging hay bag and placed the bag at his favorite cribbing site, and filled the ball about 1/3 full of various treats to see what he did. took him a couple of tries to understand what I was doing and that he could get them out himself, but I give him about a handful of treats in it every other day or so, and come back to find it almost empty, which is the goal. He's still cribbing, but he's eating more hay, and he's moving around more in his stall. He seems less discontented and possibly even a bit calmer. I would buy 10 of them for him to play with at the same time if the treats weren't pricey lol.

The media could not be loaded. This toy seems to be pretty rugged and the horses (and others!) love them. I think I need to get a bigger sized treat because the big bites forage extender that I used come out pretty easy but it does give them some enrichment! Well worth the money. They were shipped quickly as well. I may get a couple more to throw out farther for them to find during the day.

I bought this for our thoroughbred who gets easily bored. We fill them with a few Knickermakers and he plays with it for hours. Did was it out with water and vinegar first as it smelled very chemical and plastic like. Excellent value compared to those in horse supply stores.

Too small.

Our horse loves this ball feeder! Plays with it for hours. Helps with stall boredom (& probably cribbing.) Very pleasantly surprised with this product.

My husband’s horse loves it. Hole is large enough to fit normal-size treats; small enough to require work to get them out. We use Nicker Makers. Our horse loves this and plus with it all the time.
