My 8 year old absolutely loves this drift car! Great value for money

I purchased this drift car for my grandson in October. It was a Christmas present so not opened until then. Amazing performance and he loved it. Lasted 2 days when the “grip” wheel cracked in centre and now unusable. We took out the insurance and they have agreed to refund. We just wondered whether you might consider posting a new gripping wheel so the car can be used. It’s such a waste for an amazing car to be disposed of because of one wheel. Thanks

It is fast but it is loud and not throttle or steering control

This is hands down the best RC I’ve tried (and the kids have had a fair few over the years!).The car comes with 2 rechargeable batteries, which can be easily swapped out to keep the fun going. We found each battery lasted close to half an hour, which I think is really good. The controller requires AA batteries which aren’t included. A small screwdriver is included to access the battery compartments.The controller is easy to use and has an ergonomic design. It looks cool as well.The car itself is a decent size. The finish is great - with a shimmering 2-tone colour.There are 2 sets of wheels included - smooth, racing wheels, and grippier wheels. We used the smooth wheels on the indoor laminate floor, the tried it outside on the patio with the grip wheels. It worked perfectly in both locations.Also included are a set of mini traffic cones, around which you can hone your driving/drifting skills.Excellent RC car. Would make a nice gift. Would recommend.

Given as an Xmas gift and after first use I charged the battery. Luckily I kept checking it and discovered it was red hot and got it chucked outside. 2nd battery does nothing so car is useless or the faulty battery fried it. Waste of money

Great on our new vinyl flooring. Outside can be tricky unless the surface is very smooth. My son (8 years old) loves it. Lots of tears today as he’s broke a grip wheel, snapped off at the hub, as a previous review. My review/question is how do we obtain spares, more specifically a replacement wheel? Thanks.

This is a rather expensive toy, but it has proven to be a big hit.It's nice to get the children off their tablets and this has given them hours of fun already.They loved the look of the car when they took it out of the box - they ooh'd and aahhh'd about the paint colours and details - especially the headlights! They like the fact you can change tyres 'like real racing drivers'. The spare battery is ideal as it means they're not prevented from playing while one recharges. I knew we needed batteries for the remote so we had them ready to go when we took delivery - you get a screwdriver to open the compartment.I can't say they've fully mastered 'controlled' driving and the remote does take some working out, for children used to X box type controllers, so there's been some mad fast driving! Really they'd love one each but I can't imagine the chaos and crashes if there were two whizzing around the same space so it's just as well they're too pricey not to be shared. There will be bumps and bashes especially with the drifting, and at the speeds it can reach, but they enjoy the madness of it!I can't compare others as it's not something we have more of, but this seems to be a great remote car toy.

Such a shame that a little extra value wasn't put into this model car as it could easily have been really quite good.The thing that spoils this is the fact that this does not have proportional steering which at the price point it really should have. Considering it has a steering wheel controller you do expect it but you only get a flick left or right as per my video.It is unfortunate as the rest of the car looks fantastic.The finish and paintwork are great and as well as coming with two batteries it has two set of wheels with different tyre types on.It drives OK and even has LED headlights but can never be quite right with that steering.
