Q: can I iron on and then sew? I just want a regular patch but everything is iron on, and it needs to be strong (crotch rip)

Yes you can iron on then sew...that's what I did for daughters pants.. (crotch area as well) I actually found the the iron alone started to curl at the edges so the sew added the extra hold.

Q: Will these work for leggings?

I don’t think so. The iron really must be hot to get the adhesive to stick. Doubt that leggings could withstand that much heat.

Q: Will this patch work on torn leather?

I think it would burn, melt and or ruin leather.

Q: Would this work on a cotton t-shirt?

I used it on polyester pants and it worked fine. Don't see why it wouldn't work on a cotton t-shirt. Might be just a little thick or stiff for a t-shirt though.
