For $30 dollars, these are pretty good. But not a homerun.
I was initially going to skip these in-ear monitors when they first popped up on my screen. For one, these seemed to just be another set of dropshipped Chinese buds. Which, in all fairness, they are. You can find these on other popular online retailers. I haven't heard of Kinera before, but after doing a little research on them, I was surprised to find that these appear to be decently popular cheap earbuds in audiophile communities and Kinera actually produces pretty high-range stuff (I'm talking $1000s of dollars). So, with my interest piqued, I decided to give them a try.Info for nerds:Bass extension: ~20HzTreble extension: ~20kHzStereo Audio: YesLateralization of Stereo Audio: Good, but very distorted at low volumes.Noise cancellation/isolation: Low-to-ModerateNow, the first thing you might notice about these in-ears is the design. Apparently their design was inspired by a Wyvern, a mythical dragon from Chinese culture. I will say, they look cool up-close, but I doubt anyone will be stopping you on the street to ask about them. From a distance, they look like any normal earbud I've ever used. Not that that's really super important, but if you're buying these just because they look nice, you're probably barking up the wrong tree. I do like the braided cord they provide, but I have my doubts about the longevity of it. You can literally stick your finger between the strands. Forget about tossing these in a backpack or something without a cover; definitely think about getting a hardshell case. So yeah, some longevity concerns right off the bat. The eartips are your basic cheapy ones, but they do give you 3 sizes, which is always appreciated. They fit in my ears pretty well with the medium eartips. And overall, I'd say the build quality is just fine.Sound quality was a bit of a strange one for me. On one hand, for $30 monitors, these actually sound pretty good. I tested it out with some music, and they sound pretty decent at mid-to-high volume. Sure, they're a little treble-heavy, so the vocals are really up-front and can sound a little thin and plastic-like. But there's definitely some audible bass. Just for fun, I pushed these to the absolute limits and blasted them at 100% volume, and to my surprise, they handled it pretty well. So kudos for that. But on the other hand, in my short time testing these, I've already had some crackling and distortion. At first, I thought I was just hearing things, but then I lowered the volume. Turning these down to 10 percent volume and below shows you just how bad the distortion can get with these. I was actually shocked at how bad they were. It sounded like I was tapping into an AM radio station or something. It's pretty funny that for all the hype these were getting, they can't even handle low volumes. I know practically nobody listens to music quietly, but I'm one of those weirdos that do, so I can't say these are 5 star worthy.Listen, I don't expect $30 earbuds to be perfect. That's just a fool's errand. For the price, these are plenty good. But for my personal tastes, these just aren't the homerun they're hyped up to be. As long as you don't mind some quality issues, these are a tentative 4 stars, bordering on 3 stars.

Really nice dark and warm sounding entry level set with fantastic build.
These are a welcome surprise. When I saw the price and looks on these, I assumed there was no way that they could have a great price, fit, and sound, but they really do sound fantastic. They're a little recessed in the upper mids which makes for a nice smooth and relaxed listen and the warmth and texture in the upper bass is nice and smooth. The fit is great, cable is great, and they look absolutely gorgeous, almost like the Truthear Zero, but better. Bass is nice and punchy, but a little bloated and it really gives off a sense of warmth that really works well with this tuning. Mids are present and full with pretty natural timbre. Treble and presence regions are a bit recessed, but it's very relaxed and smooth but while still having a decent amount of detail. Staging is pretty average but imaging is actually extremely good. Separation could use some work, but for the price, it's acceptable. Wasn't expecting this set to be so good with such a unique tuning that just works, but it really is surprisingly solid for a lot of genres.

Almost Harman in its tuning but fit is good
I've been in the audiophile headphone and IEM space for quite a while and when I saw the opportunity to review these, I couldn't pass it up - especially since they are touted to be based on the Harman target curve. For those unaware, this type of tuning was derived from listening trials conducted by audio scientists to create a preference curve that would satisfy most listeners. It is characterized by a slight V shape, with somewhat increased bass, smooth mid-frequencies, and some treble energy between 1-3k.As the title suggests, these earphones resemble the Harman target in the bass and mid regions but miss the target well after. The treble tuning on these earphones make them sound a bit dark. Though bass is present, it has a tendency to dominate the sound profile. That aside, these earphones are very comfortable. The IEM housings create an excellent passive seal for great noise-isolation and the ability to be worn for a long time. The cable is also pliable and transmits minimal noise with movement. Putting these together and with some EQ, I would recommend them for non-critical listening.

Not bad, not great.
I had some pretty high hopes for these earphones from other reviews that I've read. Maybe that was part of my disappointment when I tested them and just found them to be ok. They come with 3 different sized rubber tips. I chose the medium sized ones, which fit perfect. And the twisted cable is reasonably long if your music source is a little further away. Before I mention the sound, which was my biggest issue, I should mention that there are many good things about this headset at this price. First is that everything seems to be high quality, These headphones do not come off as cheap at all. The ear pieces, the cable, the plug, etc. all. scream quality. And the design of the earpieces is unique and attractive. They are also pretty light and fit nicely in my ears. And I do plan to use them for certain applications. However, as for the sound I was expecting a nice round tone across the frequency spectrum. What I hear is generally lacking low end no matter what I type of music I listen to. The top and middle range actually sound very good and the tone is extremely clear with great separation. But I keep wishing for more low end. There's some bottom at certain frequencies but if you are a bass lover, these are not the headphones for you. I don't want it to be overwhelming but for me, these just need a little more. That said, for the money, you are getting a really nice quality headset with good overall sound quality.
