I have a lot of fountain pens and I have had issues with one particular brand that has proven to be less than reliable out of the box. One of the points of failure has been the included ink converters – they’re cut unevenly and as such allow air into the feeds which causes the pens to burp. I looked to these converters as replacements, and they have worked out very well for me so far.I will start by saying that these converters are not a universal fit. They do not fit all pens and feeds and as such make sure that your pens take a 2.6mm bore converter or cartridge before choosing these. For pens that take this size, they fit snugly and create a proper seal. They press flush against the nib housing as they should, which is the issue I was seeing with the pen manufacturer’s converters.These are the screw type of piston converters, not sliders. I prefer this type most of the time as the slow turn is a little easier to finely control. I like that there are a lot of them in the pack too – when one gets stained or if one somehow gets cracked (or if you’re a clumsy oaf like me and you drop one and lose it), there’s a ready replacement in the package.I have a couple of pens that take a screw-in converter (one that screws into the pen’s nib housing instead of just pushing in). I tried one of these converters in one of those pens and was pleasantly surprised that these work just fine. They fit and stay snug, even without threads.In every pen in which I put one of these, the burping issues have stopped and the pen has been much more trustworthy. These don’t fix everything, such as a bad nib or a clogged feed, but they do eliminate one point of failure I have seen in my pens.I am pleased with these converters. They absolutely fix a problem I was seeing with some of my favorite pens, and they come in a generous number so I always have a spare on hand.

The fillers I got are not what's pictured, and none of them fit any of my fountain pens. Trying to fit one to a nib to fill warped the filler.

I had no issues with the twisting mechanism working or the converters intaking ink.
