OBAGE Essential -5 2.1 Home Theatre System 80 Watt with HDMI ARC, Digital Bass Treble Control,Bluetooth 5.3v, USB,FM and AUX

The media could not be loaded. The following is my verdict after using the home theatre for 3 days, this could be too soon for a review but couldnt resist posting it due to its unexpected performance and being priced under 4k.Pros:Compact yet powerful subwooferDelivers thumping bass that can be physically felt, despite its small size.Exceptional sound claritySatellite speakers produce **refined vocals**, ensuring clear and loud audio output.Balanced sound differentiationEffectively distinguishes **highs, mids, and lows**, contributing to an immersive listening experience.Smart space utilizationIdeal for **small to mid-sized rooms**, unlike bulkier soundbars that take up excessive desk space.Engaging audio experienceStrategic **subwoofer placement** enhances the overall listening atmosphere.Cons:The lower bass could have been better otherwise none observed **so far**, provided the system maintains consistent performance.Requires **speaker burn-in** time to achieve optimal sound quality over prolonged use.

4 stars for receiving a damaged productThe satellite speaker had a gash on it and deep inside the wood.I realised it after trying to test the speakersThe Bass quality is decent but not the best, I am comparing it to my Altec Lansing AL3004A and a very old iBall Tarang 2.1 (not the woods series). Treble is also decent however the Bass being more flat killed the pleasure of listening to music.The AUX output is lower than the BT which i have noticed in most newer series speakers. My Altec Lansing 2021 model doesn't have this issue.The cables are of good quality so are the connectors and there is no replacement policy by Amazon it's only refund. So I decided to return it as it was a gift to son on his 15th birthday.However for new buyers don't keep the Bass speaker on the floor and the satellite speakers should be around Ear to Neck level to get perfect sound experience.Alternative to this Obage is Amazon Soundbar with woofer and Ant eSport SBW200## Update after 10 days .. Decided to keep the speaker for personal reasons ..Connected to my PC and the sound is fine .. The Bass needs to be tweaked and satellite speakers are installed at max wire length. The Dolby Atmos is not supported but what the heck.That small damage to the satellite was covered by using some varnish paint and polish so all is good now. Primarily using it in my study as a BT speaker when I get bored with my other Amazon Basics and iball woods.Must say that after using it for 5 hrs daily the dampening is setting in well and Bass quality is increased while Treble is too high even when left at Zero but some tuning on the sound card should help further.In short it's a good buy.

Good product in this budget

Before this I was obage 2.1 ht 303 that was 50 watt only and gives beautiful bass and clear sound with good loudness and hence having a good experience I want to upgrade my music system so went for obage essential with 80 watt system but for my surprise this system even not match with the sound quality of that pervious system in term of bass , vocal clarity and loudness ...I am very disappointed by th proformace of this system. ..I have a great faith in obage systems but this is totally bad experience ...

Overall good. I expected little more in bass and crispness. Ok for non deep music enthusiasts

Simple design and of small weight. Product delivered in good condition. Audio is very good. Even at full sound the sound did not distort. All the mids are very clear. Clear vocals and adequate bass for a small room. I liked the product very much. Value for money. Have to check on its longevity without any problems as I have faced problems with my other sound bar just as the warranty expired.
