Moisturizing 84% Aloe Vera Shampoo Jason Natural Cosmetics 16 oz Liquid

This review is for Jason's 84% Pure Aloe Vera Shampoo. (I've seen several reviews here that apparently refer to Jason's Natural Dandruff Relief shampoo.)I described this shampoo to my children's pediatrician, and had to use restraint not to include words like "amazing." I had recently ordered this shampoo for myself, but my toddler began complaining that his hair "hurt." When I pulled back his hair I saw that his scalp, running from his neck to his crown, was bright pink. I messaged this shampoo on his scalp and left it on for about 20 minutes. When I rinsed it, I found his scalp had returned to its natural color. My child's scalp sensitivity returned on another occasion (his doctor speculated it was eczema), but the shampoo worked just as well then.This evidence might not be enough to call it "amazing," but I am very grateful for this shampoo's salutary effect upon my own issues. I've struggled for a couple of years with seb derm and hair loss, and have tried various medicated shampoos and essential oils, without significant results. I purchased this shampoo simply because I had read that aloe vera gel is anti-inflammatory, and I was having a difficult time locating pure gel that did not contain other doubtful ingredients. I did not see dramatic results immediately, but I am starting my third bottle, and my condition is much, much more manageable now than it was a couple of months ago, thank the Lord. For me it has proven important to wash my hair daily, to let the shampoo sit on my scalp for several minutes, to rinse with tepid or cool water, and to follow up by gently combing my scalp with a fine toothed comb to remove flaking.

Wonderful shampoo. I've researched this type of shampoo and this brand is consistently excellent.

I bought this because it was recommended by the skindeep website and a nurse at the hospital for a baby shampoo, because of its delicate, chemical-free nature. I thought I'd use it on myself before the baby comes out just to see how it is on my very fine, brittle hair. It turned out to be fantastic! My hair is full and rich and shiny and it's clearly a very good product. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of 2 small drawbacks: It really does smell like Aloe Vera (not bad but not great) so there's no "aromatherapy" goin on there haha, and also it doesn't glide well in my hair; it's kind of like... you put it in one spot and that's where it stays-- it doesn't foam up and go all over my head so it's harder to wash my hair than other shampoos that have better glide. But yes I would certainly recommend it to people and I think it's a great product and will buy it again!

Do not waste your money! If you have fine, thin hair this produce is not for you. If you have scalp dermatitis this produce is not for you. It leaves a scum on fine hair and will make your head itch. On top of all that, you cannot return the product. It makes fine hair unmanageable. You will not get a curl at all in your hair.

I absolutely love this shampoo, which leaves my thick and some times dry hair feeling silky, wavy, shiny and nourished. I have used another organic, good-for-you shampoo for several years and "had to" buy the Jason Aloe Vera shampoo when I was travelling and it was all could find. And am I glad I did! It works better in the "hard" water at my house than my previous shampoo; it has a very light, clean scent, and most importantly: IT DOES NOT CONTAIN PARABENS, SODIUM LAURETH/ LAURYL SULFATE OR PHTALATES! The lack of SLS causes it to not foam very much, but rest assured it cleans your hair gently.I follow with a very rich conditioner (Dove Intensive Repair) and I don't think my hair has ever been this happy!Oh and my 69 year-old mother was sold on it once she tried it as well :)

I have light weight curly/wavy blonde hair and Jason products keep the frizz under control while letting the curls do their thing. also the fragrance on this is pretty neutral which is why I use this one because I'm really sensitive to perfumes and fragrances. It doesn't make your hair smell good it just gets it nice and clean.

Smells good,but makes hair feel dry

Leaves my hair so soft and glossy, just like with the apricot version, feel that don't necessarily need conditioner afterwards.Not mad about the smell but it's ok.I love this brand and am buying it more and more for hair and body products, more natural, no animal testing, performs well, great prices, perfect.

At first I wanted to go no-poo (shampoo-free), but then a friend recommended Jason’s products to me. This is the best shampoo I‘ve ever used. I always had irritation and continuous itching when I used commercial shampoos. Since I started using Jason‘s my hair looks more healthy and I don‘t even need to use the hairdryer to straighten it! And I just ordered 3 more so I never run out of it.The only point that was concerning me at first was the difficulty to have a foam once used. But then I realised that if I use a bit of the shampoo first to reduce the hair oils and then use more portion to rub the sculp then it works perfectly. It also has nice aroma, leaves my hair smelling clean and fresh.I think this id the best SLS free shampoo!

For those who frequently wash their hair this is a brilliant shampoo. As I wash my hair every morning and have dry skin I have found Jason shampoo to be the best I have ever used. Not only do I use it on my hair but I wash my face with it at the same time. It leaves my hair and face looking good and well nourished without being the least bit greasy. I highly recommend it.
