I have trouble sleeping all night. so I need a little help. I cut this pill in half because one whole pill makes me sleepy the next day but half of one is perfect.

Works great and I am able to sleep within 60-90 minutes without feeling too groggy the next day.

I suffer from Sleep Maintenance Insomnia, basically I can’t stay asleep. I tried these and took a whole pill the first night but was so tired the next day. I decreased to a half pill the next night and woke up at 3am and couldn’t go back to sleep. Unfortunately they didn’t work for me.

This GanCare sleep aid seems like most of the other diphenhydramine products out there. Although diphenhydramine no longer really works on me due to my having to take it on a regular basis for sleep, and now my body has acclimated to it. Still I like using it on occasion just to get me to stay asleep once I actually am asleep. These pills are no different. These don't work for me for getting drowsy, but diphenhydramine sleep-aids don't anymore, anyway. However, I think these do help me to stay asleep.The label on this bottle is one of those double-sided labels that you need to peel most of it off to read the rest of the product information. I don't know what some of the inactive ingredients are and that makes me a little hesitant as my other diphenhydramine product doesn't contain some of the inactive ingredients listed in this GenCare one. See my pic or just examine the one in the product photos. They also have a pic of the back of the label for you.This has FD&C Blue in it which I'm not a fan of. IMO there is absolutely no reason for aids and supplements to have dyes in them, they're just there for vapid consumer visual appeal. Personally, I'd rather have plain, clear capsules than bright blue dyed ones like these. This sleep aid also has Dicalcium Phosphate as one of the additives which is not good for someone like me who has kidney disease. Yes, it's an inactive ingredient, but still, kidney disease patients should be aware of it. There's also some added calcium so those who already take calcium supplements need to be made aware of that as well. It's only 23.52mg of calcium, but still, it needs to be factored in because too much calcium in a diet can be a bad thing.These sleep pills are made in India, not the USA, if that matters to you.So, for me, I'll be using this specific brand of diphenhydramine sparingly since some of the inactive ingredients aren't great. I'll use this bottle up but I won't be coming back for another due to my specific needs. Your needs may be different. Read the label.

These pills have Diphenhydramine HCL as the active ingredient which makes you sleepy. I’ve tried several kinds of sleep aids, and this active ingredient is the one that I find works the best for me. I do sleep longer, more soundly, but do have a hard time getting up and getting going after taking this. Small price to pay for a good night’s rest. Good choice for a sleep aid.
