I bought this for my toddler to wear on our Caribbean vacation last summer. The fit was as expected. My child is on the small side (5th percentile) so at 18 months, we bought him the 12 month size and it fit just right. The collar is a bit tight for his head, however, so it is a struggle to get on and off which he hates. I bought the lime green color which I find helps me spot him quicker if he were to get lost.As for sun protection, I was blown away. The label says it has a upf of 50+. The only part of his upper body that was tanned were his hands. His torso, back and arms were not tanned at all and this is from hours on the beach. This is much easier than having to constantly reapply sunscreen on an active child. I feel like the rashguard provides better sun protection not to mention that it also helps with preventing mosquito bites because he's covered. I am definitely going to buy larger sizes for this coming summer because the sun protection is great. I will probably size up so we won't have to struggle to get the collar over his head.

True to size and works as intended. Flexible so it is easy to put on. Note that this year I received clear white with no design (no bee) as pictured. It does not bother me whatsoever but it may be disappointing to others. I get one size up every year as we grow up and last year it was the design pictured.My only suggestion for improvement would be to start printing the label instead like some kids brands have started doing, because the ones sewn in are itchy for babies and have to be cut immediately.

I never write reviews but I feel compelled to on this to save others some time. This product is great but it definitely runs very small. My twins are 21 months and just started wearing 2T size clothing (they are tall but thin- about 26 lbs & 34" if I had to guess). I bought the 3T size of this mainly because it was $6 cheaper than the 2T and, having to buy two of everything, that added up. I'm SO glad I did because these run very small. They are slightly loose around the arms on my boys but the length of these just barely hits the top of their pants line. I am certain they will grow out of them height wise soon but I couldn't believe it because typically they swim in 3T clothing. Word to the wise- size up! So glad I did! Otherwise, these are great :)

I love this rash guard shirt the best of all the ones we have. The top fit true to size. It fits my son so nicely, easy to get on and off. I purchased this in 18 mos. Over the summer when we were swimming nearly daily my son was around 20-22lbs and was wearing 18 mos clothing. When getting my son ready to go outside/swimming I always slather him with sunblock head to toe then reapply to exposed areas throughout the day. I did not need to reapply where this shirt covered, it protected him from the sun and offered a little warmth on cooler day or in cooler water.

This is an adorable little rash guard for babies but I definitely recommend sizing up! I ordered a size 3-6 month shirt for my 24inch 12 pound baby and the sleeves and abdomen were both short. Had I ordered the right size it would be perfect, especially for the price. I love that it covers their little necks too unlike a lot of shirts I’d found.

Love, love, loved having these for my kids on our vacation to the beach! We didn't have to keep lathering them with sunscreen where the shirt covered them. The kids never complained about the shirt comfort. When they were wet and it was breezy, they complained a bit that they were cold, but I think that would have happened if they were just wearing their bathing suits anyway. My only complaint is that the sand gets stuck between the two layers of fabric a little, so the lighter color fabrics show the sand which makes the shirt look a little dirty. I've laundered them numerous times but the sand stays in the fabric. There is a little fading of colors after salt water, chlorine, and laundering over and over. I highly recommend these shirts!!!

I bought this rash guard in a 3T and when I opened the package I thought it looked really small and I thought it would not fit but when I put it on our child it fits perfectly!! It is not tight at all. The sleeves fit just right and it went over his head easily. It is really cute and I love it!! I bought a navy rash guard and a lime green. Both colors are really pretty. The lime green is a true lime green. The only thing I might change is tomake the shirt about an inch longer. It does comes to his waist and is ok. 3T is our normal clothes size.
