Love that the windup of the hose is eliminated with the retraction device. It’s not kink free so attention needs to be taken. If you’ve never had a retractable hose, you’ll immediately appreciate the difference.

It is fairly heavy (we shouldn't be surprised) and is mounted to a wall with 4 lag screws through a heavy plastic molded pivot point.I appreciated that the wall-mount hole template was provided as a self-adhesive sticker, which was simple to apply to the wall and simple drill to just through it, then remove. I used a 1/2-inch masonry bit (the recommended size), and the plastic anchors fit the holes just fine with a little bit of powered clear-out of the holes. The lag screws worked fine; they included a phillips head option, but I used a socket wrench on the hex head of the screws, to tighten. Once the mount was up, attaching the reel was a simple matter of lining up the holes and inserting the pivot rod.Also included were two nice plastic hose-end sprayers, and the top of the pivot point works nicely as a storage location for the unused sprayer.This model was loaded with 66 feet of 5/8-inch diameter hose - some reels use the smaller 1/2-inch hose, which creates a greater restriction resulting in lower water flow than this one. This hose reel was also (unlike some others) able to both retract and rewind regardless of whether water pressure was on or not, and that was in large part because this came with a reinforced hose that doesn't expand (or contract) under water pressure as much as other hose types.However, the provided hose is NOT non-kink, so you'll have to be aware of that as you extend and move about. I also found that the last 4 feet of hose would not wind on the reel - there simply was no more room left, and that was true regardless of whether or not the hose was pressurized. For me that's not a deal-breaker, the last few feet of the end of the hose drapes over the reel without issue. Perhaps over time a better winding of the hose during retraction will provide the necessary reel space in order to pull it on onto the reel - time will tell.The length of this hose at 66 feet splits the difference between 50 foot hoses and 75 foot hoses, and is a nice mid-length hose. Give the choice, I would generally prefer a shorter 5/8-inch hose over a 75-foot 1/2-inch hose. For my yard, in the attached center location, 66 feet (plus the water spray) is enough to cover the entire front yard.
