This dash cam is fantastic! Unlike my previous models, this one records even while parked, which adds extra security. I had it professionally installed at Best Buy, and the process took less than an hour. Just keep in mind that you’ll need to purchase the hardwire kit separately.The build quality is excellent—it looks sleek and high-end. The video quality is outstanding, recording in sharp 4K for both the front and rear cameras. The companion app is fairly intuitive, though it takes a little getting used to. And you will need to consult with the manual. Occasionally, the Wi-Fi connection drops when browsing files, so I find it easier to remove the SD card and review footage on a computer.Overall, this dash cam is well worth the investment for its quality, features, and reliability!

The media could not be loaded. This dash cam is an excellent deal. Image quality and night vision are great at this price point. Installation was fairly straightforward, and the app works well. The end result of the installation is barely visible. I can only see one little bit of wire above the back windshield. Everywhere else, I was able to tuck the wire into trim easily using the thoughtfully included spudger tool. Overall, I'm very happy!I do have some specific suggestions for others on installation:1) Installation of the cameras involves attaching clear electrostatic sheets to the front and rear windshields, and then sticking the cameras to the sheets. It's tricky to get them on without bubbles. If there are bubbles, just poke them with a needle. Don't try to push them out or reposition the sheet, as it makes the sheet cloudy.2) Once you've attached a camera to the sheet, it is not coming off the sheet again. Be very careful when you put it on. However, the sheet can pull off the window if you pull sideways on the wire while pushing the wire into trim. I learned that the hard way.3) Be sure that the camera lens doesn't have to see through the electrostatic sheet. That's easy for the front camera, because it's a lot wider. But the rear camera really needs to be placed right at the side edge of the sheet so that it only looks through the rear windshield. The sheet interferes with image quality.4) I asked for the optional hardwire kit, and installed it into a 2019 Subaru Ascent. I used fuse #9 for the ACC connection, and #32 for the B+ (always on) connection. I also needed to buy separate fuse taps because the hardwire kit uses mini fuses, and the Ascent uses mini low profile fuses. I just cut off the attached mini fuses and crimped the wires into the fuse taps.5) I chose to position the front camera so that it's hidden by the rear view mirror. This is because the built-in screen is so tiny that it's not really useful while driving. All settings are made with the app, and the video is also much easier to see on my phone by connecting with the app via Wifi. I also put black electrical tape over the screen because I was afraid a reflection might interfere with the EyeSight cameras of the car.6) I positioned the rear camera upside-down, so that it would block less of the rear windshield. The rear camera can be flipped horizontally or vertically in the app, so you have more flexibility with how you mount it.7) Both cameras together use about 400MB of storage space per minute. That means that the included 64 GB SD card will only be able to record about 2.5 hrs of video before it loops around and videos start getting overwritten. If you want to retain video for longer, be sure to buy a bigger micro SD card.

I recently bought a dash cam to use on my vehicle for both long trip and local driving. After reviewing many different dash cams, I decided to buy a GKU-D900 camera package. I received it two days after ordering it. That is exceptional delivery service! It exceeded my expectations. The front and rear cameras are both very compact, nice design, high quality video, and well built. It also came with a 64GB SD card.The installation of both cameras was very easy and the installation of the power wires was easier than I anticipated with the small tool that came with it. The wires tucked in nicely and out of sight along the headliner of both camera locations. Setting the cameras up was also very easy following the enclosed instructions. I installed the front cameras first and tried it out. Then installed the rear camera and hada problem getting it to turn on. After contacting customer service, I received an e-mail from Judy. Sheconfirmed what I had done was not shutting the front camera off and then restarting it after the second camera was installed. The front camera simply had not recognized it. Both cameras work excellent and I am very impressed with the video clarity, and all the other features! I highly recommend the GKU D900 camera package! Equally of importance was the quick response to my e-mail to customer service. Judy was very helpful in providing detailed instructions!

The images are clear and can also hear what is said as well. Set up was easy.Still learning how to use it but works really great

The GKU Dash Cam is a great camera that does everything it needs to. The camera quality is great for both front and rear, with wide FOV for both cameras. Overall, all features work well and it gives me piece of mind when driving on the road.Pros:- Video Quality: The 4K front and 2.5K rear resolution deliver exceptional clarity.- Rear Camera Cable Length: The rear camera wire is more than adequate for reaching the back of my Ford Escape, I've had other dash cams which fell short in this area.- User-Friendly Design: Mounting and adjusting the camera is a breeze. The setup is straightforward, and the camera stays securely in place. The SD card slot is easily accessible so I don't even need to disconnect the camera before extracting the SD card, which you probably will do since the app is quite slow to download videos.- GPS Speed Tracking: The GPS tracking feature is reliable and accurateCons:- Companion App: While the app works fine, it can be slow when downloading videos directly from the camera. It's not a dealbreaker, but it does require some patience. Updating settings is also slow, but since you won't need to access it that often its not really an issue.
