Tales Of Vesperia Definitive Edition (Nintendo Switch)

I’m surprised at how much I’m enjoying this game - I only bought it to keep me busy until the big KH3 release - but now I’m reluctant to put it down.I’m not entirely sure what’s going on in the story but that doesn’t matter because the characters make the game and I’m hooked on their adventures. The graphics have held up well, the voice acting is great and the ability to unlock skills from weapons is very addictive. Even better that it can be played on a handheld device.5/5

Along with Skies of Arcadia, easily one of the finest JRPGs to make it to the western market. Best Tales game in my book and the last one where they used static environments rather than the hideous faux open world rubbish we see in Berseria & Zestiria.Fantastic cast makes the somewhat predictable plot easily forgivable and the gameplay is on point throughout.

Cute but not as good as other Tales of games. As always the Switch versions of games cost extra but it’s great fun to play on the go.

Received the game earlier than expected. However the box is broken . Dunno if it's from rhe delivery or something..but the game looks promising. If the box is in perfect condition wpuld probably give it 4 stars.

I only post reviews after I have played the game to completion.New to the Tales Series of games. Generally it is a nicely designed RPG once you have got used to the limited (2.5D) world and restricted pathways to explore the game environment. It has some nicely presented backdrops and good character designs and voice-acting. But overall I found that the format was just too repetitive. Don't get me wrong I enjoy a bit of hack and slash adventuring as the next player, just it was too, too much.The biggest reasons through for a two star review is that there is no denying that the software is glitchy and frequently crashes out (You'l soon get used to the "The Software was closed because an error occurred" black screen of death). The most annoying thing is these usually after a long sequence of game play (when you've been busy problem solving etc.) and there are just too few save points between these stages that makes this buggy software even more annoying when you have to repeat sequence three or four times to get through without a crash.Frankly Bandai Namco as the developer and Ninetendo's quality control processes should be ashamed of themselves - this is just far too buggy a piece of software for the price.

Fantasic game! Originally had this on the Xbox 360 and thorougly enjoyed it. Never finished it back then but having this on the go has made this game even more enjoyable.Great action RPG combat and it’s just as beautiful as i remember.Definitely a must have for RPG collectors!

I started my Tales Of journey with Abyss through to Zestiria and enjoy the series overall. Not the "best" jrpg series on the market, but an easily accessible one. My favourite is Xillia then Symphonia. As for Vesperia, my first time through via Switch. I must admit that it doesn't stick with me as a great installment in the series. I am aware that within the fandom it is considered one of the best titles they released, just it doesn't appeal to me like others have.It feels extremely slow to get moving and the over-use of cliche's in the genre like FFX for example, just makes it all the worse. Still each to their own ^u^.

Its a sin how this can be called a re-mastered. such a difference between the ps4 version and switch. when you enter battle theres a black screen compared to the classic glass breaking. Skits black screen instead of stick with the world map color. performance issues/ I could go on. Bandai really messed up.

Ich hatte das Spiel bei diesem Anbieter gekauft, da explizit dabei stand, dass es sich um die Game Disc handelt. Da ich immer nur die physischen Versionen der Spiele (Also Spiele-Module) haben will und kaufe, war ich sehr glücklich bei diesem Anbieter das Game als Game-Modul und nicht als Download-Version bekommen zu können und ich bekam trotzdem "nur" einen Code zum downloaden des Spiels auf der Switch.

Uno de los grandes RPGs de la pasada generación en XBOX360. Para mí uno de los mejores "Tales of" con muy buena historia y personajes. Uno de los que no os pueden faltar en vuestra colección de JRPGs.

Solo llevo unas 30h jugadas, pero engancha bastante y es muy ameno de jugar si te gustan este tipo de juegos.
