ColtCowls - Colt Rotorvent Ultralite 2 Rotating Chimney Cowl

This is a great chimney cowl helps with down drafts problems and most importantly as it spins in the direction of the wind stops the smoke from hanging around the chimney.

Downdrafts stopped immediately. Great product. So quiet, cannot hear spinning from inside the room. Spins even with the lightest breeze. Good construction.

I could not be more happy with this cowl if it got up in the morning and made me tea! It seriously improves updraft and as eliminated my smokey fireplace. All this coupled with the Rotorvent guarantee makes me a very happy bunny! Fantast!

Very easy to fit - if you are happy to climb up to the top of your roof. It runs smoothly without any rumble or noise and helps dissipate the smoke and increases the draw. I never suffered from downdraft so can't really comment.Looks like it's with every penny. It has a good guarantee so the manufacturer has confidence in it too!

Really well made and finsihed. The bearing spins very freely and it goes round in the slightest breeze. It's silent which is nice as I was a bit concerned that it would make a noise and it would be audible in the room below. Easy to fit to a standard chimney pot and the dual fixings (bolts and jubilee band) add confidence. It should be easy to remove for sweeping (I sweep downwards) as long as the fixing bolts don't rust up... I'll be keeping an eye on those. Black definitely the right choice as it does not cause annoying reflections in sunlight.
