This is as good as the more expensive litter robots but at 1/4 the price. Very quiet. Easy to learn how to use and clean. All the cats use it without fear. Bought a second one for my daughter's cat!

I've had this litter box a month so far, and have been happy with it so far.I have two 5-year old cats. We have three litter boxes in the house, this being the only autoclean box. They have slowly been using the new box over time, and are starting to prefer it more and more. I'm hoping to phase out the other boxes in soon.My cats prefer an open box, so this design works well for us. I like that we can keep using our same litter. Cleaning out the tray is simple and I've not had any issues with smell. If we do, I can easily add a deodorizer into the tray.I've had the Cat Genie in the past, that product didn't work out for me. Between the pellets and the cleaning cycles, my cats were not happy with it, plus the deep cleaning of it was a mess.I've not done a deep clean on the product yet. The instructions seem simple enough. We almost throw out the plastic part that is required for the full deep cleaning. I'm hoping to not lose it again, not sure how to find a replacement part if I do.

We’ve never had a cat before so cleaning our kitten’s litter after him is not very fun. We were looking for an answer for making cleaning easier for us and for our cat sitter. After weeks of research, we went with this model because it was simple, large enough for a growing kitten, quiet, and hopefully not too dangerous. This litter box is a game changer! It works exactly as described and my cat took to it immediately.I am giving this product 5 stars for a few reasons:First, it was very easy to put together: attach the legs, the drawer and plug it in. Remove the plastic shield but keep it for future use. I was iffy about letting it automatically sift the litter itself but If you hold the brush button for 5 seconds, it will go into manual mode. Push the litter button, when adding your litter so it doesn’t auto clean. We added our litter of choice: Sustainability Yours. My 7-month-old kitten used it immediately after setup, without any training.Secondly, it is one of the least expensive auto-cleaning litter robots on the market. There are some that go up to $800. Thankfully, this was $239 with a $60 Amazon discount, making it $179.It also fits purrfectly by our kitchen island.I have had some issues of the PetPivot getting stuck upside down, with a flashing red light in the Brush button. It has happened 3 times now and it required me to unplug the unit and reset the barrel part of the PetPivot. Luckily, it is an easy fix. There are buttons on the side to release the barrel to reset or to clean the product. Putting it back is just as easy as setting the part back in and closing the lat he’s on the side. The barrel part does not ever flip completely over so I believe this is safe for cats from getting stuck inside.

I found it by chance and decided to cautiously order it after hearing stories of the cheap boxes being dangerous and squishing cats.Let me start off with safety:- the box never fully closed during the cleaning cycle, so even if the sensors were to malfunction, your cat would never be in danger- the sensors work really well during the cleaning cycle and me even briefly putting my hand in immediately stops everythingPackaging, design, quality:My boyfriend’s jaw dropped when I told him how affordable this box was. Our friends have the litter robot 4 and this is honestly the same quality. The packaging and design was beautiful. Nicely written instructions including QR codes for video and digital instructions, not the kind you sometimes get with cheap products where there are typically many mistranslations. It took me all but 5 minutes to set up!- even the box had beautiful branding and honestly, the whole thing looks like it would cost about $900-1000. It’s amazing!Usage and size:- we have two very large cats (they are light weight but large, around 13lbs, but cannot fit into a regular cat carrier) and one small girl. So far, my large blind tuxedo is the biggest fan of the box! We bought a step because the entrance is quite high and I put their familiar rug on the step to help. As any of the automatic litter boxes, it is somewhat small for large cats. However, my Elvi just uses it sideways and that seems to work.- Blind Elvi learned to use it the same night that I set it up! We started off with it unplugged so not to spook her with any of the movement and by the next morning, she was a pro!- there are two steps to the cleaning. One is shortly after the cat used it, maybe 60s later? It seems to be their levelling function which as I understand is to make sure the clump does not stick to the bottom. Then it waits a few minutes to give the litter time to tightly clump (about 5min I think) and then removes it. It does so very efficiently without wasting any unused litter!- we use a tofu litter with it that’s specifically designed for automatic litter boxes (soysand) and it works beautifullyWaste container:- The container is a clever design with special bin bags that are shallow but have a very wide opening that spans the entirety of the bin. It’s designed in a way that you can pull the draw string before even opening the container to avoid any unpleasantries.- it comes with a roll of plenty of these special bags but for now, I might just remove the waste and reuse the bag and see how that works. If it gets stinky, I’ll obviously replace. I’ve only had the box a few days so can’t yet speak about this.Training:- I didn’t have to do much training for my blind cat, just mostly dug in the (clean, new) litter so she could hear the familiar sound. This got her curious and she kept checking it out on her own- I read on Reddit that people have put a poop from another litter box into their automatic box to help the cats understand they needed to use it. In our case, this was not necessary but it’s a good tip- responses to cleaning cycle: my cat was initially spooked with the sound but then got very curious and now just loves to lay by her box and wait for it to move (she hasn’t worked out yet that it only cleans after she used it)All in all, this is the best purchase I’ve made for my cats apart from GPS trackers. Yes, it doesn’t have an app but I honestly don’t think this is necessary? We will be purchasing a second one soon to have in the living room. We are keeping at least one stainless steel litter tray for our large boy since he prefers to have more space (despite being the same size as our large girl). Our large girl (featured in the videos) is actively choosing this automatic box over her clean, usual stainless steel box. I think that says it all!

Okay, here's the scoop (pun intended), this automatic litter box is great! We had another automatic litter box that was much more expensive and took more time and was harder to clean. This box is much easier! We have 8 rescue cats and were trying to find an easier way to clean litter. One of our cats have a limp and it was difficult for her to get into the litter box so we got a small step stool and put it in front of the litter box and she does just fine. In fact, we have bought 5 of these litter boxes and have a step in front them all. The other cats like the ease of the step also. The only issue so far is one of our cats gets aggressive in the digging and flings litter out on the floor but we can deal with that. The box is always clean and ready to go and we've noticed that there is no smell. This is a very affordable box that works great!!
