90's Throwback with Improved Sparkle!
I remembered sparkle mascara from the 90s and wasn't surprised these shimmery, frosted, sparkly products were making a comeback. This ethereal aesthetic was a favorite growing up, and I was interested in mixing a touch of this glimmer nostalgia into today. I chose the Silver shade, and was relieved to see the glitter product pigmentation was much more fine in texture than the chunky more eye threatening glitter products of the past. I tried it both as a topper overcoat, and on bare lashes. The bare lashes didn’t hold the glitter well. It worked better on my lashes over mascara. I allowed my mascara to dry completely before applying. The mascara brush is full and large, it helped with a nice adhesion of the product as a topper on my lashes. I experienced a tiny bit of clumping which was easy to correct with a lash brush. It gave me the glittery effect of gleaming lashes up close, and at certain angles from a little further away. I was hopeful but it didn’t photograph well as the very tips of my lashes seemed frosted and disappeared into the image. I’m sure a makeup pro could layer this successfully for stunning results. I was able to remove the mascara easily with a makeup remover wipe. This mascara is super fun for special occasions or theme events. I did like how the sparkle mascara looked when I used it only my lower lashes, on my eyebrows, or brushed the wand through my bangs to give a little glitter highlight effect.

Fun
I love these. Colored mascara is so much fun to wear. They do not run at all.

Do not recommend.
Worst mascara ever!

Glamorous!
This silvery, shiny, glitter mascara is a good choice. I got it for my Halloween costume but I'm tempted to wear it for other glamorous occasions! While the item arrived in a new looking condition, it did not have any safety sealing on the package (to clarify: not the shipping box, but the carton you'd find holding the mascara on a store shelf.) Also I know what a new mascara looks like (nothing extra on the wand when you first remove it) and this did absolutely appear new. But the lack of sealing may give pause to some users, and I think that could use correcting. It applies in the same way as normal mascara, but with that extra shine you want. The package recommends applying regular mascara first and letting it dry before using this. The glitter crystals are suspended in the clear solution, so it's not super likely that the glitter will just fall into your eyes. Also it's kind of like glitter nail polish in that it goes where it wants, so you might have to do a few extra passes in places. And, again like glitter nail polish, removal is more challenging. We all know that glitter is a forever item, so be prepared. All things considered it's more an occasional use item than everyday makeup. But it does look cool when it's on!

Adds a fun shimmer
While I wouldn't use this for work or much of my usual makeup looks, I did have fun wearing this to a concert. It added just enough shimmer that could still be seen behind my glasses and make my eyes "pop" when looking at me. I've used several glitter mascaras before, but have always found you get what you pay for - and this is no exception. It's cute, it works, but there are better alternatives out there depending on what you're looking for.

Where’s the glitter?
Didn’t see any glitter on my eye lashes when I used this. So this one is a good pass for me.

Clear Mascara with Subtle Silvery Glitter Imparts a Mystical, Free-Spirited Aura ✨🤍✨
This is a very subtle clear mascara, with silver glitter mixed in, to add a bit of sparkle. The instructions recommend that you apply your regular mascara first, and then apply over top after the first layer has dried. I don’t normally wear mascara as I have very sensitive eyes, but I did go ahead and test using that method and it was okay. I’d recommend curling your eyelashes beforehand, because it’s good practice when using mascara, but also to cut down on potential glare from glitter flecks catching the sunlight. I actually prefer this all by itself (curling first, of course) rather than over a mascara base. I prefer clear mascara to begin with, but the glitter, far from being tacky, is actually barely noticeable and rather cute. It gives a mystical, fairy-like vibe. It’s a fun, adorable look for free spirits who prefer a more naturalistic feel to their makeup.
