TULIPPermanent Fabric Dye Powder, Bright Pink

The color came out great for this dye. I followed the directions on the back to a T (excpet for the occasional stirring for 45 minutes, I did it for 30) and it came out wonderfully!I actually did the clothes one at a time, and then kept adding a bit of hot water each time to "activate" the dye for another piece.You may notice that one skirt came out darker than the other, and the jacket came out dirty white pink (barely pink at all) This just has to do with the material.All of these pieces are 100% cotton, except maybe the jacket. I actually dyed this jacket first, as it was a dirty pink white from before (Rit dye fail) and I really wanted to save it. But I've realized that the jacket may not be 100% cotton and could be blended.As for the skirts, I did the flared skirt second, and the jean skirt last. One was lighter than the other, so it probably soaked in more color quickly. I'm so happy because even though the jean skirt was originally a coral pink (failed RIT Dye experiment lol) it came out a perfect light pink color. I recommend this!

new to me, am so used to rit. but it worked pretty good for what I was trying to do - change a reddish brown cotton sweatshirt jacket into more of a maroon. there are limits to what you can do to darker garments.I have always enjoyed messing with dye, learned some important lessons. black will never come out pure black, and what looks vibrant on pkg will usually turn out to be more of a pastel when all is said and done.all cotton and nylon absorb dye really well. rayon - iffy. polyester and acrylic - forget it!

Product was great but you have to use the whole package at once so it is only good for one time use.

Had a white jacket that had a stain on it. I dyed it pink and it looks amazing. I even washed it and the color stayed great! I can't wait to dye something else.

I can't speak for how well this works on fabric because I use it to dye book pages and wood clothespins, but for those purposes, it works fantastic! It's very easy to use, you won't burn yourself mixing or using it, like some dyes that have to be boiled. It easily dissloves in warm water and while I don't compare my results to the package as far as colors, I've used three different brands and this one is my favorite because of how consistent the colors turn out, how easy it is to use and how readily available it is.

The packaging states this will make up to one gallon but I did less than half a gallon and the color was too washed out.I have used the same brand with the small bottles you get from the craft store and they are great. If only the instructions were clearer about how much water to add to make it like those other bottles I would have had a better result.

Dyed two items with this, a cotton blouse and a cotton blazer.Both absorbed color evenly and it is a beautiful pink color. Love it!
