Not sure what you mean. If you mean "Do the fruits have to be same size cuts for it to work properly?", the answer is no. If you keep some of them ticker than others, it'll take longer for them to compete dry out. Or they might be a little chewy and not as crispy as the thinner ones. I like them a little chewy anyway. You don't have to cut them all the exact thickness.

There is some heat from it, but it does not really heat up a room. The thing I really love about it is how quiet it is.
