This is probably the best value for the money in a compact, high intensity UV water sterilizer. I have limited vertical working space in my water filtration cabinet. This UV water sterilizer has a very high flow capacity in a short length. Everything about it is quality. The mounting clamps are nice. The product itself is sturdy. Changing the lamp and the quartz sleeve will be easy. The ballast includes a 365 day countdown timer for lamp replacement.The only gripe might be the water inlet and outlet locations. Viqua chose to use side outlets with the inlet and outlet on opposite sides. For some setups, this is ideal, but for my setup, same side outlets would have been ideal. I was able to work around the issue by installing stainless steel street elbows on the inlet and outlet with the elbows pointing away from the mounting wall. What would be nice is if Viqua had put one outlet on each side and then included a cap for the unused outlet.

Great Service. We do not have public water. Our water comes from a shallow well or a passing river. We need our water to be safe to drink. We ordered the smaller unit and when we received it we decided to return it and get the larger one (it was still unopened). Their response was immediate. I had no problem returning the first item and they sent the second one quickly. This Ultraviolet Light - UV protection - will inactivate harmful bacteria giving you safe drinking water.

This should be straightforward, but it was actually a bit of a pain to install. Because the screw hole is in the middle of the mounting bracket, you can't hold it all in place and then screw it in. You have to mock it up, then pull the filter out to access the screw spot.Then, the screws were all worthless, they seemed like they were made out of tin foil. They all stripped as i was screwing them in, and i had to use an angle grinder to cut them out. Definitely recommend using better screws so you don't get stuck.Last small gripe is that the threads didn't love PVC connections. The female part of the connection didn't seem to be threaded with the same TPI/thread size as the PVC fittings I had, so I had to connect the female PVC fitting to the male threads (and then really had to crank it on to get it to not leak, even with sealant).

The system was not hard to install and works really well. I saved a small fortune installing it myself and it was not that difficutl.

Purchased a whole house system. Controller went bad in 5 years. No exchange or repair of unit have to buy new one at the same cost as whole unit. At the cost of unit and bulbs once a year with no support will not be purchasing again. Something of this cost should last more than 5 years very dissatisfied.

Great product. I have been getting some GI issues from cisterns in the area that were not all kept. This gadget doesn't even need chlorine to keep us off the toilet - the only issue came when the painters unplugged it to pain around it......This only reaffirmed that the technology is awesome. It is a bit large to set up and requires FRAGILE bulbs every year, solid filtration system, and 9power0 but totally worth the spend!

I liked it when it didn’t leak. There is a leak at the bottom. I think they didn’t set the crystal tube right when sent from manufacturer. Now waiting for it to drain since it leaked into the bulb housing area and the bulb is now wet! This is too expensive to have something like this happen. The bulb is now ruined. Will update if I see more issues. Will raise the star review just a bit if they respond to this and offer me a solution.
