Fits perfectly, super simple to replace
OEM replacement filter so it fits just like the stock one. I had about 65k miles on my car and it seemed like it was getting a little musty inside. I always thought that cabin air filters were hard to change but not in the Mazda 6. I've seen it in other reviews and thought they were exaggerating, but the entire job only takes 5 minutes and is super simple. I really do feel like the air smelled fresher coming out of the AC afterward too, there sure was a lot of junk in the old one.Empty the glove box, unhook it and open it up all the way. The filter is right there behind the glove box and slides right out, just look on youtube, there are a lot of really good how-to videos to guide you. I was actually a little disappointed at how easy it was- I thought it would buy me at least 30 minutes from having to do other honey-do tasks like cleaning the bathroom! Nope, I was back inside with a toilet brush in hand in no time!

Cheaper than the dealer!
OEM Filter. Fits great, works like it should. Comes in the original Mazda packaging and does includes the Mazda logo on the unit, making it a genuine product. The replacement is very easy. Open the glovebox, press two tabs on the side. The glovebox will drop another inch and you can fit your hand, pull out the old filter. If you haven't changed your filter in a while, WATCH OUT FOR DEBRIS! You don't want stuff to fall below into the blower fan, as it'll make an annoying noise (eg. tiny leaf falling). Pay attention to the way it came out (airflow direction arrow) and place the new filter inside. Close the glovebox.Dealers charge over $50 dollars for a 30 second swap. Do it yourself and save!

Looks like the same filter I get from my Mazda dealership
Looks legit. It has a Mazda logo on it and the plastic is black in color.

Good Product and Easy Install. Do yourself a favor and replace the filter.
Recently, my wife started commenting that the air in our 2014 CX5 had a smell to it. Now, I've never replaced the cabin air filter in any of the cars I've owned but I decided go ahead and do this one. Don't get me wrong though, I'm not scared to work on my cars and consider myself a car enthusiast; I've just never replaced one of these filters for some unexplained reason. The actual process for replacing this filter could not be easier. It will take all of one minuet to do. When i pulled out the current filter from my two year old car I was amazed to find its current state. Needless to say, this is an easy repair that SHOULD be made by everyone.

The real deal
Mazda logo stamped on plastic. Thick foam cushioning around it. One from Mazda dealership, which cost slightly more considering that it did not need to be shipped, didn’t even have the Mazda logo. Wanted to get both to compare. Dealership one, with “MV” as the last 2 letters in the serial number, fit fine, too. Saved myself a $35 dealership install.

(KD45-61-J6X) Cabin Air Filter
Genuine Mazda (KD45-61-J6X) Cabin Air Filter does NOT fit a 2019 Mazda 3 5-door (hatchback). It is too thin and does not have the top AND bottom clips to secure it into the filter slot.

Fits my 2015 Mazda 3 perfectly, at least as far as I can see lol
Works perfectly so far in my 2015 Mazda 3, much cheaper than the 50+ bucks the dealer wanted. If you need to know how to change it, it is located BEHIND the glove box. You must open it up carefully by gentle pulling the left and right walls in so the whole glove box door can open up further giving you access to the filter.Update 2017: just installed my 2nd one and the old one was chalk full of all kinds of trash. So this thing is doing it's job very well! :D
