Great little mixer.
Used this mixer for two shows so far. Great mixer did everything I needed. Sounds great. Used it with a different set of powered speakers each time. Sounded great with both. Very good mixer for a great price. Highly recommended.

The results so far have been fantastic, audio quality is superb and professional
I use this for on location podcasting, using with a 4 mics and a headphone splitter. The results so far have been fantastic, audio quality is superb and professional. Make sure if you plan to use this to record out to a PC or MAC to but the MXP124FX, it was not obvious to me at first, on the product list at top choose 12 Channel with Effects, I ordered wrong one first but it was replaced quickly. I don't use the effects much but they are a great added bonus. With the 124FX you get the USB return port, this allows you to send to the computer and back, so you can actually have 4 people on the deck and you can then inlclude a Skype conversation or group convo using the return back into the mixer. I have actually tested this using the deck with laptop and Adobe Audition and also tested with Audacity and it works perfectly. This Mixpad came highly recommended to me from other podcast shows and if you are thinking of taking whatever you do to the next level, I highly recommend this, extremely good value for money!

A Very Pleasant Surprise!
Hooked this up to my JBL PROX1 p.a. today and put it through all the tests via my Roland DS88 keyboard and Sennheiser Mic. Extremely pleased with this mixer! Warm, clean punchy sound, easy to set up and navigate (very wisely put together board). Was most surprised by the 99 on board digital fx. The mic sound for vocals was just popping in the mix. And so easy to navigate and set up this board. Now happy to look at even more Samson products to see what is available (I already have their 10" monitor in use). Thanks Samson for quality stuff for the working musician!

I recommend that anyone wishing to purchase this piece of equipment ...
UPDATE: It's been over two months now and this unit is still working great. So much flexibility in a small package. I bought a mic stand adapter to put it on and I use it every day. My experience so far has been very good.Clean sound. Layout is straight-forward and functional. I bought mine used for under $70, and was really impressed by the bang for the buck. Use: home project studio - so I have no idea how road worthy the unit is, as the case is plastic. I'm writing this having received it only yesterday. So...I recommend that anyone wishing to purchase this piece of equipment to read the other reviews.

Disappointed!
Initial take: My much less expensive Pyle mixer sounds much better. Plus, I have to max out everything on the Samson to get a decent volume on the same dynamic mic that works great with the Pyle and sounds better with the Pyle, too. If something changes, I'll note that here. Right now, this is looking like a return. Bummer!

The Samson MixPad MXP144 Is Easy To Use, Sounds Good, And Offers Essential Mixing Options
This mixer actually surprised us, provides way more quality than we expected. We didn't need a high $ studio grade mixer, although we had a list of needed options. We found that the Mixpad MXP144 provided them all at the best price available. The routing is straight-forward, with a Main Mix for your PA speakers, plus a second set of outs via Mix 2 that are perfect for sending to a recording interface. The 3 Band EQ actually sounds good, all the faders have an equal resistence when moved, plus individual channel mutes are essential kit. The preamps get the job done, sound as good as any other budget mixer, while the channel inserts allowed us to use high quality outboard gear where needed. We added a decent effects unit, supplying a global reverb across all channels. The only weak spot is the channel compressors, but there is a sweet spot that makes them useable. We love this mixer,as it does it all for us. Our only concern is durability. It sure would be awesome if this mixer keeps on working for years, cuz it blew us away performance-wise. Samson?! Who woulda thought it, but they got this mixer exactly right.
