It has a clear pocket on the front cover, comes with a table of contents, the pages are different and it wasn't what I was expecting. I will still use the composition notebook as it's still very good.

This is a souped up composition book. A plastic based cover means it's not going to get destroyed, and there is also a table of contents you can link by page number as you fill things out, which is kind of nice if you're filling it up over the course of time. It is quite a bit more than your standard 50 cent composition book however.

The notebooks are nice with useful notetaking features. Sadly they arrived damaged - torn, wrinkled and dirty. Very disappointed as my kid needs these for class now.

I really love this notebook, but it doesn’t lay flat very easily. This is a negative. Also, the inside pocket is not big enough to hold a regular 8 1/2x11 sheet of paper.

This should be obvious, but unless you truly need it (like I did), do not order if you can't pick the color, otherwise you'll wind up with a color you don't want to use. The color I got was also not part of the listed colors given and if it was, then it was either sitting out in the sun too long or way oversaturated in the photo, which is false advertising.

I love notebooks that have pockets, sturdy covers and no wire binding. I'm left handed so the spiral wire binding is always uncomfortable for writing. This Five Star Notebook has pockets, a sturdy cover and no wire. So why not five stars? First, the notebook is only available, as far as I could see, in college ruled and I have large handwriting so I prefer the wider lines. Also, the pockets are not quite big enough for a full 81/2 x 11 inch piece of paper to lie flat in them. That's a big problem. Every thing you want to put in the pockets has to be trimmed down, folded or just plain smushed. I like this notebook but the smallish pockets are almost a deal breaker.

I like this sturdy notebook cover, which covers the spiral wire and therefore keeps it from ripping your clothes or coming loose and tangling with other books or notebooks you might be carrying.The other advantages include a date column and a blank, line-less column on each page, which can help to organize the notes and tell you in a glance what notes are on which page.I can't rate the expense since the notebook at present has no price, but for the right sum, I'd buy this again.Very nice notebook!
