Q: How large is the opening?

I have two of these. One measures 10cm and my other is 9 & 3/4cm at the opening. It says they are individually turned and this is correct as my vases have a different but similar wood pattern. Nice vases.

Q: Can you use this vase to put flowers in?

I use it for artificial flowers, I personally wouldn't use it for fresh flowers because its made of wood

Q: Is the wood from a sustainable source?

they are indeed -they are made from the roots of teak trees that have been felled from an FSC sustainable plantation. the roots used to be burned out but are now dug out and then carved into a range of beautiful natural objects. Many thanks Farm & Garden

hi there this is natural wood - for a beautiful finish we just rubbed ours in in some olive oil and let is soaked in - lovely finish
