Q: Is there padding in the cups?

Yes there's padding. The foam is about 1/3 inch thick at the apex (nipple area), and thins out to all the edges. It's not like push up padding, nor is it rigid and ridiculously overdone-- which makes me happy. The pads give a very natural profile under clothes. I'm a 32D (or 34C in sister sizing), and I'm thin/Size 2 in clothes, so too much padding or too round padding makes me look like I got a bad boob job. I really like the pads in these. I ordered 4 more. Highly recommend.

Q: What size should i get if i wear a 32dd??

In my opinion these bras are for typical size pairings. A 32DD is not typical--you would spill out of the small (which normally would be indicated by the 32 measurement) and be swimming in the XL (which normally would be indicated by the DD measurement). You need to search for your specific size, sorry.
