It's loud on high, barely audible on low. If you can bare the hum on high it will greatly improve air quality. Learned this through experience. Like any filtration system, the only flaw with filtering is circulation. You can never put a filter in a corner, obstruct circulation with furniture or expect instant results. That being said, if competing next to others, this filter will leave a room smelling like fresh paint. I leave it tucked into a corner while the living room is being used, but once we go to bed I pull it out. Partner this with their "surface cleaner." They don't call it a vacuum because it cleans so well. Partnered together and now I haven't dusted in a few months because of the lack of dust in the air.

I just got a new cat who adopted our family by leaving his previous home. I'm 100% allergic to cats. Since I bought this Air Purifier by Filter Queen, I'm breathing normally even with the cat in the room. It does an excellent job of capturing cat hair and dander. I'm waiting to see how it handles normal dust collection.I have had a cough caused by allergies for a few months, the cough is also beginning to go away since I bought this. I just wish I could have one for every room I'm in but I can't. It is lightweight. I like knowing I can take it with me when I travel.

This is, by far, the best air purifier I have ever used. I have tried Holmes, Filtrete etc... and this is the best HEPA class purifier in terms of build quality, efficiency, and effectiveness. It is also very quiet, or extremely powerful when you want it to be. To top it off, this is a US made product!So too, remember to buy the OEM filters here -- and avoid the aftermarket filters. None of the aftermarket HEPA or carbon filters have an official medical grade rating like these filters do.

Fantastic air purifier! I bought it to set on top of a cabinet that houses my cats litter box. Completely eliminated all odors, not to mention my entire 3rd floor has significantly less dust than before. Saras Vac Shack is second to none ! I would have never known it was Refurbished. It arrived clinically clean and wrapped in plastic. I own a filter queen vacuum as well and will never own anything else besides filter queens. This defender was a great addition.

We like it very much. It is doing a great job of keeping the air cleaner, have much less dust. The only thing I don't like is that it is very noisy on low setting and way too loud on high. We let it run on low 24-7. Very satisfied.

So far this unit cleans the air of dust particles and allergens quite well. They have high ratings and good reports. But they are some times sold in a deceptive manner by traveling salesmen at high prices. I was glad to find this one at a good price. The filter which are costly will need changing yearly.

Man this thing is amazing, keeps the room clean smelling and kills the germs. I never felt so safe when I sleep. Sound is like the wind blowing

The media could not be loaded. Arrived broken. No damage to the box, looks like it was packed this way.Expect way better from a product of this level.After owning a previous generation, this unit is by far cheaper and obviously poorly made.Tried to return or exchange and my only option is return and wait 30 days for a refund.Horrible experience. Would not recommend. They are not what they were in the past. Would avoid at all cost.
