Quiet and powerful for small areas.
I have been using this dehumidifier for about week. I leave it on my bathroom sink and run it when the humidity is high in my bathroom. The little unit is very quiet and pulls water out of the air slowly. It has not filled up yet and the canister is about one-fourth full. I left in running continuously until I went to move it and noticed the plug was very hot, so I turned it off. I bought a humidity monitor at the same time as this unit and have it on the wall in my bathroom wall, and turn the unit on according to the monitor. Usually I prefer the room to stay around 50% but this unit is very small and has yet to reach 50% but hovers 54-56%. I'm very comfortable in that range, however I worry about the coming warmer seasons and how this unit will work. I have used a large dehumidifier in an older house that would fill up rather quickly but it was loud. All in all I am happy with this unit.

Dehumidifier
Have a real nice car that keeps getting mold in it due to the humidity in Florida. This fits in my car and works perfect.

Small, powerful, very affordable
For the price, this little dehumidifier is pretty great. I have a basement apartment in a city with particularly hot/humid summers and even with the AC on, I noticed my bedroom starting to feel a little damp (where the AC has the poorest circulation). This little thing is designed for pretty small spaces and my room is large, but, on a budget, I thought it wouldn't hurt to try it out. I was mostly worried about my clothes molding in my closet so I cracked open the closet door open and stuck it right in front. The reservoir fills up every few days and the machine shuts itself off which is really convenient. It's green "on" light switches to yellow when full. It has improved the feel in my room and so far everything in my closet is dry. The only reason I gave it four stars is because it makes a constant low-whirring and the indicator light can be pretty bright if you're a light/sensitive sleeper. I'm not bothered by the noise but had to find a way to cover the indicator light at night. Overall, for its price and size, I would say it has lived up to my expectations.

Great little dehumidifier!
We have an older home & have 2 of these, one in the laundry room & one in a closet. They pull the moisture out of the air well & help keep the musty smell out. For as compact as they are, they do a really good job! I would recommend this product!

Dehumidifies small bathroom: 8' (L) x 5' (W) x 8' (H) = 320 cf
Successfully dehumidifies a small bathroom (320 cf), combined with a Dayton Dehumidifier Control Outlet:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001OLVNU0/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1The bathroom measurements are wall to wall, and ceiling to floor:8' (L) x 5' (W) x 8' (H) = 320 cfThe bathroom door is kept closed to keep our animals out, so the only ventilation the room receives comes from the door opening, and closing a few times a day, and the ventilation fan, during, and a few minutes after a shower is taken.Keeping the door closed encourages mold, and mildew to grow. However, a dehumidifier works best when the area its in is closed off, so, we have that going for us. :-)Both units use very little electricity. The dehumidifier is not silent, but it's quiet. From reading customer complaints, I found the achilles heel of this type of product are the on/off switches, which tend to break over extended on, and off switching. Not a problem if you leave the switch in the on position, and use a dehumidifer control outlet to automatically turn the dehumidifier on, and off depending on the humidity setting. :-)It also saves you the trouble of turning the unit on, and off yourself.Lazy people rule! The dehumidifer control outlet is plugged into an electrical outlet on a wall, to the left of the sink, about 1' about the sink cabinet.Using a portable humidity sensor:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001B35APA/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1I found the humidity level the control unit reported in its location was 15% points higher than the portable unit, which I placed in the middle of the room.Since I wanted to power the dehumidifer when humidity reached above 55% in the middle of the room, I set the control outlet to 40%.The reservoir fills up after 5 days, during higher than average humidity periods. When humidity is below 55%, the control outlet turns off the dehumidifier. It's off right now. :-)The only maintenance performed is spilling out the reservior water when it's full, and blowing out the dust bunnies from the vents every few months. The dehumidifier will not work very well if the vents are not cleared of dust.I know this is common sense, but needs to be stated, cuz even I watched the reservoir not fill up with water for 1 week, yet the humidity level was higher than normal, and the unit was on 24 hours a day.Blew out the dust bunnies from the vents, and boom, every day 1/5 of the reservoir filled up with water.Doh!Before using this dehumidifier, this bathroom would tend to grow noticable mold, and mildew above the bathtub, on the walls, and ceiling. Not anymore. :-)

DOA and Manufacturer does not support product
As requested by the manufacturer, I contacted them directly for warranty support, as the power supply is defective and therefore unit is non operational. After 2 weeks and emails requesting support I have no response. Meanwhile my 30 day warranty through Amazon is about to run out so I will be returning, and not fixing or replacing. Buyer be aware, poor quality and no support.

Effective, quiet, small
Really impressed with the amount of water this pulls out in a day. In the PNW we have had the wettest winter in memory and everything is soggy and moldy. I am using this by moving it from room to room so as not to get so dried out we have sinus problems. In the bathroom it pulled 6oz of water in about two days, I have moved it into the bedroom and it's just about three days to pull 6zo of water, its a bit less wet there. It is pretty quiet, I sometimes mistake it for the dvd player running, it has that kind of low hum. It is indeed easy to use. Plug in. Turn on. When full it shuts off, though the switch doesn't toggle. but after the tank is emptied and replaced, toggle off then on and back in business. Will likely get two more next fall and use without moving from room to room.
