This is perfect for traveling - lightweight and easy to use. Compared what the weight on this scale shows to my big old doctor type scale and it showed the same weight. I made sure to compare several to make sure. Can't wait to take it with me when I go on vacation so I can keep track of my weight while away from home. Guess the only drawback would be if you have really large feet. As you need to step on it, see the red light, then when the light turns green it shows the weight. If you have big feet you may not be able to see the LCD until you step off but you should be able to see the green light in the center so you know when to just move from the scale and look down at it. It does not stay on there long so look quickly. So far, seems to work plenty well for my needs.

I knew in advance that this scale would be more difficult to balance on than "normal" scales, due to its size - top to bottom, it's about half as long as my foot - therefore I can't really count that as one of the Cons, more like an anticipated nuisance that's not any worse than I expected. I bought the scale because I needed one that can fit in something like a laptop bag's Other Stuff compartment (it does).The scale feels solid and well made, it's simple, and successive measurements are identical to the nearest 0.2 lb (or 0.1 kg in metric mode), which is the resolution of the scale. For successive measurements to be consistent, this tiny and tricky-to-keep-totally-still-on scale *must* be on a flat and ideally a completely hard surface. I use mine on marble or ceramic tile or concrete or sturdy hardwood and get consistency. If you use it on carpet or even linoleum that has a little give, don't be surprised to see some variation.The scale turns on when I stand on it. It took a little effort to balance and keep still on it at first. I soon got used to it and found a good way to position my feet (think standing sideways on a ~6 inch wide beam). I do not try to stand so that I can see the whole LCD between my feet. The scale is barely wide enough, so I leave just a little space between my feet; it's enough to see the centrally placed LED at the top. When it turns from red to green, the measurement is stable, then I step off and look at the display. It stays on for several seconds, then the scale shuts off.That's about all the scale does, it does it well, and that's all I wanted from it.

This is a great little scale to travel with. It's light and it is accurate. The colors are cheerful. The first one I bought was in July 2021. I traveled with it and used it daily at home. It suddenly stopped working September 2024. I tried fresh batteries, but it was dead. I'm hoping this one will last longer. It fits well in my small bathroom. I gave it four stars because I don't know how long it will last. It is still worth purchasing for travel to stay on track.

Awesome scale, awesome seller.The seller shipped two hours (REALLY!) after I placed my order on Amazon, and shipped priority without any extra charge.so it ARRIVED IN TWO DAYS. It came in a flat rate envelope, so of course I thought it was some papers.... HA HA, I forgot how skinny and small it is!I loved it immediately, just as I hoped. It's so fun that its tiny, the easier scale to use ever, and that it gives me pounds down to tenths.(You can swith it to kg.) And it's very fast, unless I am wobbly. (I have a back injury and sometimes lean on a counter too long...). At first I wasn't sure it was going to be consistent, and maybe the first day it wasn't, or maybe having a scale that reads to four places I forgot the huge numerical difference drinking a glass of water has, or putting on a sweater, or eating. Or maybe it had to settle in. Or I had to discover a flat place, rather than random among the varying tiles.I believe I get consistent readings 90% of the time, and when I get an outlier, I have usually gotten it on a not-so-flat spot on the floor. Sometimes I check a few times. But I trust it enough now that usually I take the first reading and that's it. Except that it's so fun, i come back later, try it with and without shoes, etc. I love it when something is JUST what you wanted!One tiny thing worried me at first but was not a problem. The box said to pull the portruding battery protector tab out but I saw none sticking out of the battery compartment. I opened the compartment and there it was inside. I pulled it out and the scale woke up. I put a bit of tape on the tab, and taped it inside the (tiny) shipping box. That's so, when I need to store the scale, I can put the tab back in. I don't think I would actually travel with it without putting the tab in to save the battery. Maybe taping it on the bottom of the scale would have been even better-- it would already be in place to be used whenever its going to have all-day weight on it, such as in a suitcase or stored with other stuff.I've been disappointed with a lot of mail order items lately. THIS one however, is fantastic. TEN STARS.UPDATE: I have been meaning to update this for some time and finally got to the computer lab. I am still very happy with this scale, however, the need for multiple step-on's and off's is real. The first reading is ALWAYS off by several pounds. I get consistency usually around the third or fourth, but not always. I stop there and take that (unless wholly unexpected) rather than keep at it. And it doesn't read to tenths, really, it reads to "two tenths," that is, the tenths digit is always an even number, to my recollection. I now read it to the nearest pound, and am very happy with that. But most of the "ten stars," and still great satisfaction with it, is really my delight at speedy delivery, the wonderful compactness, the look and easy readability of it, and NOT it's on spot accuracy in the moment - that last thing is missing.

When you have kids traveling for combat sports, you find yourself in hotel and hotel searching for a scale. When you find them, you question the accuracy of the scale. It grows old and tiresome very quickly.I tried this scale. I was not as concerned with accuracy as a I was consistency. Tracking the weight is not just about what you weigh, but which direction your weight is going and by how much. So a scale that is a 3 ounces off, but is always 3 ounces off, is still a very useful scale.This scale is both consistent and accurate. It is small and easy to travel with, but a bit fiddly to stand on. And we finally don't waste time searching for fitness center scales only to find them untrustworthy or broken altogether.If you are traveling and tracking weight, I highly recommend this product.
