He kindly sent me an email to explain the maintenance procedure I should employ for my new brush and to tell me he was open to any questions I might have about the product. I truly appreciate his genuine concern for me as his customer.Let me begin by saying I did not receive any form of compensation for this review. This is simply my candid appraisal of the product, and with over 40 years of shaving experience, some men might actually find one or two of my comments worthwhile.At first glance, the brush has a very attractive appearance, as the faux handle and chrome base make a beautiful addition to my bathroom décor. I found the weight of the handle striking. I appreciate having a brush with this kind of weight, as it feels very solid and masculine, fitting comfortably in my hand, and makes for easy shave cream application.I have been using this brush for about three months. In that time, I have only lost one hair. I was pleasantly surprised to find it exuded minimal odor. Actually, the little odor it had entirely disappeared after a preliminary shampooing and a few initial uses. The bristles offer exceptional water retention properties that permit me to quickly create considerable shave cream lather. In fact, if you use a very good shave cream, you will find the brush is able to hold substantial cream between the bristles from one shave pass to another. While I normally perform a three-pass shaving routine, I was curious to see just how much soap the brush could hold amid the passes. Although I do not advocate doing this regularly, I simply rinsed my face after the first pass and found the brush retained enough soap to produce a slick lather for the second pass. It was not an abundant lather, but certainly enough to hydrate the whiskers for the second pass. Naturally, I was quite impressed with the result.Overall, I have to say this shaving brush is an outstanding product. Though there are several high quality brushes on the market costing considerably more money, the Parker brush offers substantial quality and value at this price point. I am very happy with this purchase and pleased to include this product in my daily shaving regimen. Having acquired the right shaving tools, the Parker brush being among them, I actually look forward to shaving every morning. I believe any man who enjoys a superior shave will appreciate owning this product. Therefore, I concur with other people who have reviewed this product and give the Parker Safety Razor 100% Silvertip Badger Bristle Faux Horn Handle Shaving Brush a five star rating.

Very nice brush. Good value holds the water well. I use a marble bowl and I get a thick moist lather.

Received the brush quickly, had an email from the seller with care tips a day ahead of tice. Delivered by mail in a bubble envelope. Packaging was a box with the brush partially inside a ziploc bag I side. As you can see from the picture, the brush was exposed outside a tear in the bag. There werected hairs and some gunk outside the brush stuck to the bag. I thought the knot was destroyed at first. Taking the brush out, it seemed ok. Not sure how it would have been packaged in that state, as it couldn't have happened in shipping since the box had no damage. The stand seems too tight for it. Using my combo razor/brush stand, so not a problem. Gave it a wash and it had a large plume, some to be expected but I'm not a fan of one so large that the brush is missing my face without pushing it way in. Only one else hair off so far. Has a nice weight and look. The faux bone is unmistakably plastic, but the weight feels good in the hand. I'm not 100% on this being genuine silver tip badger. For the price, it's a decent looking brush. I'll update after 4 weeks of use.Update: I don't think there will be much change in this brush after a longer break-in, so I'll give my updated review. The seller has been very helpful and has followed up with me. I'd have no problem ordering from them again. The brush seems to hold hairs and I'm still impressed with its overall weight and feel. The loft and shape aren't good for face lathering. 50% of the brush won't co.e in contact with your face. It is filed e for bowl lathering if that is your use. I still don't believe it is silver tip badger based on other brushes I have. That's not a knock on the seller. It is badger hair and holds water well. I'd recommend it for bowl lathering only.Update after 2 weeks. The brush has improved with use. Its beginning to come together with all bristles for face lathering g. Still very soft, but not fanning out nearly as much. Lathers better as well. I changed rating from 4 to 5 stars. This is going to be my everyday brush. Little, to no, loss of bristles.

This brush is awesome. It's my first silvertip, after using a high quality pure badger brush for about 10 years. This brush built up probably the richest lather I've ever been able to create today, with ease. The softness and the water retention are amazing. This brush "blooms" quite nicely, compared to my old pure badger, and I actually think the price was about the same. It's also beautiful. The faux horn looks quite convincing. It's like a work of art. I shampooed it and lathered it up a couple of times before actually shaving, to get the loose hairs out. It may have lost 10-15 hairs, but by the time I was ready for my shave, I lost no hairsUpdate: I'm about 3 weeks in, and I've shaved daily with this brush. It's still great. It has broken in quite nicely, and there is no issue with shedding or losing hairs. This brush is great looking, and has performance on par with it's looksI'll update this review if it starts to fall apart.
