Genuine Canon Ink it the way to go
I have tried compatible cartridges, compatible black cartridges have never been any good, some of the compatible color cartridges are acceptable, but the genuine Canon cartridges are the only ones to use. Expensive, but trouble-free.

XL Is The Most Economical Way To Go
We love our Canon MAXIFY MB2020 Wireless Office All-In-One Inkjet Printer with Mobile and Tablet Printing, and AirPrint and Google Compatible and it uses these very convenient, easy to insert 1200 ink tanks. Because ink prices are through the roof, it pays to shop around, but I've found XL tanks to be most economical. They last almost three times longer than standard tanks--we get a lot of mileage out of each colored tank. Currently, Amazon offers the best prices for this size, but other times I've found better deals on Ebay or from reliable dealers like Beach Camera. Just make sure ink tanks are authentic Canon. The ink in these tanks produces beautiful colors--we're very happy with our printer and the quality pages it produces.

Don't try to save money with off-brand ink. Bye from the manufacturer, and it will probably work...
It's printer ink that actually works...Oh, and I had to get a couple of my guitars in there as well.

Don't waste your money!
I have always bought my ink from Staples or BestBuy. Thought I would order it on Amazon. Never agin! Clogged my printer head. Never has this happened in the 5 years I've had my printer. Genuine- I don't think so! Robbery.
