Recommended for the travler!
I got turned on to these many years ago as a way to determine if TSA had opened my check luggage. I also use them when using carry one on smaller planes that have to be stored on the Jet way. This assures that I have an extra layer of security. If I am checking anything at a hotel waiting for room assignment, etc., I just put one of these through along with the lock and I feel good that I can tell if someone with a "TSA" master key had opened my lock. May be overkill but also the colors help identify my luggage from others as well. Normally I purchased smaller amounts from luggage stores but this is a very good value.

Great for luggage
I use these on my checked luggage to keep zipper from opening, as well as offering a level of security from potential thieves. It's easy for security personnel to open if need be.

Best travel accessory
Just bought a replacement set after using up my first set. I love using these for airline travel. My bag has only been opened by TSA one time while using one of these cables. I love seeing it when I get my checked luggage and knowing no one has tampered with my bag.

Okay zip ties for luggage
Not quite what I was expecting; they are kind of thin but will be fine for minimally securing zippers on luggage. The proofreader must have been napping when they wrote the description: they are not 15.4" long, but more like 6" -- that's okay, still useable, didn't return, but eh?

Thinner than expected but still works fine with luggage.

Cheaper Than Locks That May or May Not Work
OK. Simple. Simple. Simple. But very secure. Even if TSA has to open the luggage, it is better than paying for a lock that had to be cut off because their key didn't work. I even include some extra one inside in an envelope marked "TSA: If you had to open and inspect my luggage, PLEASE replace the cable tie with one of these." I use one color going and have extra ones for the return trip - a different color. If they had to replace one, I will know as soon as I glance at the luggage that a different color is on the luggage. I will carefully inspect the contents. Just a tip that works well.

Great purchase for travel
I purchased these for my trip to Italy. This was easily the best $3 I spent for my trip. First, I didn't even buy locks for my luggage, I used these and then connected the zippers together so that if someone opened the bag they wouldn't be able to move the zipper (google how easily someone can use a pen to open your suitcase & zip it closed again without a trace) I took one carry on suitcase & didn't need these for the trip to Italy, but on the way home I checked my suitcase & zip tied the main zippers together and the front pocket zippers together, then I slid both sets of zippers to the side & zip tied all together.Additionally many places in Rome will not allow you to take your backpack inside (no warning - thanks tour guides) so I luckily had brought these with me & used them in the same fashion when checking my backpack at museums. One thing though - I was super careful to always make sure I had the clippers in my pocket so I could open them when I got my bags back. When I go on my next trip I will definitely take these with me.
