Pentel Fude Brush Pen Extra Fine (XFL2F) + Cartridge (XFR-AD) 2-Pack

I always enjoy using brush pens. I have a ridiculous assortment of them including Kuretake and other brands. These kinds are great for the fact that they hold a lot of ink and lasts so long!!!! I've only recently started using the XF brushes for finer work and love em! It should known that this one isn't permanent! These are amazing for line and wash! The gray cartridges are the permanent ones. Highly recommend these for line and wash though. One of these along with the medium and an aqua brush with a large reservoir and BOOM! you've got a grayscale setup for months!

Love it, works great. One thing to note is removing the red ring first in order use. So unscrew the top half, above the red ring, then pop off the red ring, the screw the top half back on. Easy peasy, there’s a good YouTube introductory video, not affiliated but they do a good job reviewing it. The channel is Jsheetz Artwork.As far as waterproof, it doesn’t seem like it but it could be my paper. But don’t quote me on water resistant. I’ll have to test it out again

Overall, I enjoy the pen as it does exactly what I need. I use it to write and I think it does the job well. It is my first time using a brush pen, so learning how to apply the right pressure was a little tricky. One thing that I was a little disappointed with was the thickness of the brush. As I said, this is my first brush pen so I had the idea that the brush was going to much thinner than it was since it was described as "extra fine" by the company. This issue can be mitigated by just applying less pressure on the brush and you can get some pretty thin lines. It is a good pen and I can safely recommend this.

I was surprised by how dry this brush pen runs. I was hoping to be able to do really quick strokes with it, however that was not the case. Perhaps if I refill with better ink I will get a better result.
