Q: Can you wash wash these?

Hi Salt has healing qualities, for surgical scars and keeping fish and meat edible, so its not a dirty receptacle, but you can wash the mills. Dry thoroughly with paper kitchen towels and leave in a 'warm place' (but dont melt them) to dry thoroughly. Ensure the mill cutters are dry before you replenish the mills. Ive had mine for 3 years, i tap them and brush them out occasionally, but have had no issues. They get wiped over with a clean cloth on the outsides, and we keep the grinders free of salt/pepper dust. Frankly, most mills dont last that long, but oxo have stood the test of time. Ive had them for at least 17 years. My 2nd son moved to uni halls, he took my first set so it didnt matter if they got broken or lifted, i bought new. The 2nd set went with my eldest son when he bought his flat, hes still using them. My 3rd set are still going strong, and i bought a new set for my 2nd son when he bought his house. My daughter came back home to live, brought her set so we have salt pepper and chilli flakes and a spare mill!

Q: Does the "grinder set" comes with salt and pepper?

Yes the set has x2 grinders, fully filled. One salt and one pepper. I've had mine for 6 months and love them. No mess or fuss and really easy to fill and adjust the course ness of the grinders.
