Really good deal on a fountain pen - very pretty pen.

The design of this pen is beautiful, but...I was expecting an extra fine point. It writes more like a medium nib pen. The converter is flimsy and was difficult to fill without air bubbles. It didn't matter that I totally submerged the nib, the chamber did not fill properly. I ended up buying separate cartridges, which I found easy to install. The pen doesn't always write as smoothly as I'd like. The flow is somewhat inconsistent. I use it for journaling, so an ink blob here or there adds a little character, but I would not recommend this pen for professional use.

I am torn. I have several Hongdian pens. This one is so pretty but skips, feathers and bleeds using Hongdian ink. Wasn't sure if it was the ink so I changed the ink yo something that has not bled or feathered and it still did both. I had some spare nibs (Hongdian) so i changed it and don't have the issue.

It’s beautiful and writes so nicely. I don’t want to put it down!

This was my first metal pen and first Hong Dian, one of my first fountain pens truth be told. It took some time to figure out how to hold it and write but once I did it all smoothed out. The nib isn’t as fine as a Pilot steel EF or even some other Hong Dian EF nibs but it works smoothly and puts down solid lines.I love holding this pen and writing with it. The flowers engraved on it have a great texture, one that’s different from every other pen I’ve tried. You feel a bit more texture through the nib than most pens, which can be good or bad depending on your preference.

This was a Xmas gift for my son, but if it's anything like the one I bought myself, it is definitely a nice writing pen.

This pen is gorgeous and writes very smoothly. It feels sturdy in your hand. I am still new to some aspects of foutain pens and the seller was so sweet when I asked a question. I am happy with my purchase. My one thing is that it is short so you can't just dip it into some bottles to fill. I do like that it was easy to clean off as well. I was expecting the ink to stick in the grooves but it didn't. I look forward to using this.
