Handy and resilient
I've only had this clipboard for a month but so far it's done a good job of keeping my schematics and documents dust free and dry during a few rain showers and wind storms. Has plenty of space for writing tools, booklets, papers, or folders. The hand holds also provide solid comfortable grips while in use or in carry.

Just buy it
Probably one of the best things I have bought for my job. I'm always on the move both indoors and outdoors and hated carrying a clipboard around. I even tried a plastic storage clipboard, that chipped on the corner from being dropped. This offers a handle on the spine for carrying, which I really like. As far as durability, so far, it has held up very well. I would make a few changes on the inside with the storage, but I make it work. If you're on the fence, I would say- buy it and give it a try. You'll probably really like it.

Incredible Work Desk for the Field
Watch out bad reviewers, I'm coming in hot. This thing is INCREDIBLE. I was an observer for NOAA and used this out at sea. Put it through thick and thin. Salt water, fish guts, flooding, banging my head against it to stay awake at 4AM, trying to shove it down my throat to end the misery when something went wrong. And guess what? It never broke through any of those ordeals.Salt water is basically satan to anything metal at sea. The clip of this board is metal, so while it did rust, the spring kept the closure tight around my veryvery important documents. Nice. The closure of the clipboard isn't waterproof, but I'd say water resistant if your reaction to it being submerged is quick. I mean I would even put my Kindle in this thing and not have to worry about it getting damaged.Speaking of the inside, I felt like Mary Poppins with this clipboard. All of my documents, snacks, tape measure, Kindle, 10 pens and pencils, pillows, a sofa, you name it. I could fit everything in here. I might have dreamed of those last items, but it definitely surprised me how much it could hold (comfortably, an inch stack of papers–2.54cm for you metric bozos). The best part about this thing though? The length and the handle. The length is perfect for putting it across your knees while sitting and having a sturdy place to work–and I'm a lefty! Anyone else who's a lefty and looking at field-clipboards: look no further. All others will fail you. And the handle? I've never thought about a handle quality until this clipboard. Maybe that's not true, but this one is *chef's kiss*.Yeah, ok, sure, it's a Dexas clipboard under Rite in the Rain™™™™™™™™'s name, but hot tamale is it a good one. I like Rite products, so I'm down to support them. This thing slaps (I'm sure if you used it to slap someone, they wouldn't recover, so my lawyer told me to write "please don't").

Great but has issues
Case is holding up great. Zippers are lasting well. Only problem I have had is bubbling on the material.

Love it
Love all the compartments and hard body of the planner. It's hard to find one that's big enough to hold all my plans and paperwork but this one does the trick.

Best clipboard ever
Love it! I work winters with snow making. This is sick when i need to service the snow guns outdoors, or on the mountain!

Nice buy
I bought this about 6 months ago. It's held up very well over several drops and a few rainstorms. I don't use the zipper part much so can't say how well that is but i can say it is a bit stiff.
