Absolute best of the genre!
I've had three iPads since they first entered the market. I've purchased cases for all of them as iPads do not get discounted and are quite expensive. I've had cases/folios by Zagg, Otterbox and now Zugu. While Zagg and Otterbox both make good cases/folios they have their issues. They are both more expensive than my new Zugu. For the money they do what they are designed to do. They do protect the iPad. They also had Bluetooth keyboards which I rarely used. This underutilized keyboard added greatly to the bulk without adding to the protection aspect of the case. For my latest iPad, a 9.7 6th Generation, I opted for the Zagg Folio with keyboard. The protection aspect while "adequate" was short of being the grand prize winner. I've repurposed a Basmati rice jute bag as my iPad and accessories satchel which works quite well. The sheer bulk of the Zagg Folio presented problems and limited what I could carry along with the iPad.I'm on Facebook and Zugu popped up as an ad on my news feed page. That was a fortuitous pop up! I immediately went to their website and after doing my due diligence I went to Amazon and purchased the Zugu Case. When it arrived I did a side by side comparison of the Zagg, Otterbox and Zugu. That side by side comparison was not without regrets!I regret that Zugu was not an option when I purchased the Zagg and Otterbox cases! The Zugu Case is far and away the best of the three. There is no bulk adding unused keyboard, the fit is outstanding being better than the Otterbox and far better than the Zagg. It is light and "slim" but not at the expense of protection. The keyboard was a "nice to have feature" for the Zagg and Otterbox but protection of my investment was the primary purpose of buying a case. The inventor of the Zugu Case did an outstanding job! I'm totally surprised that he had difficulties in finding investors. I would bet these shortsighted individuals are regretting their decision not to back the Zugu Case. The case in addition to being imminently practical is simply beautiful. This is a perfect example of the best in both form and function. The addition of the Apple pencil sleeve was a nice touch that lesser inventors would not have thought of. The artistic use of the embossed design on the inside of the cover adds to the case's attractiveness. The metallic Lion on the front is very nice. The seven position guides gives a viewing angle suitable for any possible use of one's iPad. It is far better and sturdier than that on my Zagg folio. The various cutouts for keys, apertures, lightning connector and the like are perfectly designed and "cut" that NOT being the case for either my Zagg or Otterbox!Whenever I decide to acquire something using Amazon Prime, (that being outstanding in its own right but a review for another day), I read the reviews to get a perspective of what other purchasers thought. I have made quite a few Amazon purchases and I've never seen so many Five Star reviews. I now understand how and why the reviewers rated this case so highly.I wholeheartedly and without any reservations whatsoever recommend this case to anyone looking to protect their Apple investment. Everything is right with the Zugu Case. Form, check! Function, check! Price, check! Add those factors with Amazon Primes customer service and you have an unbeatable deal.

Best iPad case if you're looking for a landscape stand that won't collapse
I bought this case to replace an origami-style case that consisted of a thin shell for the back of the iPad and a cover with vertical and diagonal creases in it. Folding the cover created both portrait and landscape stands, which was nice, but I found it hard to hold the iPad in my lap, as the creases made the cover floppy. In contrast, the Zugu case has a rigid cover with a soft felt inner face for protecting the screen. Folded back against the case, it makes the iPad easy to hold, frankly easier than holding a bare iPad, as the case is thick enough to enable a comfortable grip. My primary concern was that the case would be too bulky, but it's not. It's barely thicker than my origami case, so the iPad slips easily into my briefcase, and it doesn't add significant weight. The stand is the best part of the case, and unique to Zugu. Its magnets firmly lock it into seven different angles, unlikely many cases that just have a shallow groove for the lower edge of the iPad. You can use the stand at a shallow angle to prop the iPad comfortably in your lap, or at a steeper angle to watch a movie by setting the iPad on the seatback tray of a plane. Even though the stand locks firmly, it's a snap to close the case, simply by pulling the cover away from the stand, which then folds against the back of the case, where it's held by magnets. The cover closes with a magnet, and causes the iPad to turn off when closed and on when opened.

THE STAND MAKES IT WORTH EVERY DIME SPENT ON THIS AMAZING CASE!!
When I bought this iPad, I asked myself what is goning to get me to pay the extra money for this iPad case over all the others. I have been an auditor for 20+ years so I analyze everything. I looked at reviews and the write up for days before purchasing. Hopefully this will save you some time.I am here to tell you that it’s definitely worth the money. I am a very frugal person. When I read all of these positive reviews, I decided to purchase the case. The biggest thing that sets this case apart from all others is the magnetic stand. There are seven levels that can be used to prop up your iPad for viewing. I loved my old iPad case but when I placed my iPad in font of me and then tried to click something or scroll down it fell. This will not happen with this iPad. I also lay down in bed, sometimes I set my iPad with this new case on my tummy and sometimes on a pillow...again it does not fall. It prompts up so I can watch Netflix right in front of me in bed while my iPad sits on a pillow. This is the most amazing feature for me.My next concern was that it needed to be durable. I cannot tell you that it survived this or that but I can tell you that it looks very durable and that it can survive my child who always thinks my iPad is better than his. You can also see that the vendor tested the durability and states how high of a fall that they know it can withstand. I really liked that they stated a heigh of the fall it would survive. My last cover looked like it belonged to a child. Whenever I took it to a conference I had to switch to a black professional looking cover. Not with this case... it is thin but not too thin and has a very professional look to it. It was also real easy to but on my iPad.After purchasing, I planned to write a review because as a mom this was a big decision to spend the money that I did on this cover (i.e. buy something for myself) so I contacted customer service to see if they would reply promptly. They were very prompt in getting back to me. I was very pleased with customer service.Lastly, I read the reviews that talk about how the sides fit. While I can see what they are talking about and very much appreciated their reviews, after purchasing the case it is not something that gives me any concern as far as durability. The iPad is securely in that case.
