Excellent Value but could be better
Low cost and very useful gateway. Accommodates 2 SIP registrations and is extremely flexible when connecting to legacy PBX equipment. The bottom gets very hot but thus far has not caused an issue. I am not sure if this extreme temperature will effect the life of the units - only time will tell. The inclusion of the ability to project "ping" and "trace route" for quality testing after turn up would make this the only choice for analog gateways. I have purchased several of these and they are in service and all performing well. Power cord is generous length. Does not include mounting hardware. I will buy these again.

Great for modernizing old PBX to VOIP or providing analog lines to VOIP system
Pros:Easy to setup. The web setup system is really simple and straight forward. I strongly recommend downloading the manual from Grandstream's website while waiting on your shipment. It can handle 2 SIP server profiles. Each of the 8 ports is a separate SIP extension and can be selected to be on one of the 2 profiles. The pass-thru / Bridged option is nice for the Ethernet ports but it is only 100mb. I use mine as a pass thru for another VOIP device and it works fine. Saves me a port on my switch. Voice quality is really nice so far, I haven't been able to try with a FAX machine just yet. I use 4 of the ports to power the PBX line card, and the other 4 for cordless handsets and FAX. The build quality feels solid but a bit plastic-y. Not out of line with a ~100$ product.CONS:You really need to know VOIP or have your VOIP provider give you directions. 2 SIP profiles is a bit limiting with 8 ports. The device does seem to run quite warm.

Good Quality
I am using Grandstream GXW-4008 to provide me with 8 analog phones ( to save the cost of IP Phones ) with my SIP based IP PBX.The quliaty of voice is good and very easy to manage.I gave it 4 stars because it supports only two SIP providers, I wish if it's at least 4 SIP providers.I would recommend it over any other brands.
