Q: How many tiles would l need for a ceiling 5'×8'6"

Each one of these tile samples are 12”x12”. They are actually at 24”x24” tile cut in quarters. So figure 5x9=45 tiles. That will leave you with 3” on the long side extra. However the 5’ side is right on if the room is square you may get by. Personally I order about an extra 5 tiles to account for mistakes. The seam that falls on the cut sides you may want to start with that end on the sides and cover it up with trim. Anyway you decide to do it you will want to cover that rough cut seam in the field with flat moulding or it will look awful. But using these sample tiles are much cheaper than buying the 2’x2’ squares. Hope this helps.

Q: Can tiles with gloss coating be used directly behind a gas stove that does not have a back panel? Is the coating flammable or could it melt?
