Yamaha Guitar Case

Fantastic
Very satisfied with the quality of this case. Ordered the acoustic dreadnought case, and it fits my FG700S perfectly (zero movement; snug fit). The neck compartment is large enough where a pack of strings can comfortably sit flat (my Fender dreadnought case I need to keep the pack of strings vertical). Compartment lid feels more solid4 gold clasp design, with feet on the bottom so the case can sit on the floor vertically or horizontally. Seams all around look perfect. Handle placement leaves the case feeling balanced in the hand with or without a guitar. My only other experience with owning an acoustic hard case has been with Fender’s, and overall I am happier with Yamaha’s case and would recommend it over Fender’s.

Great Value, Solid Guitar Case
I have a 1972 Gallagher G-70 that needed a new case. I didn't want to spring for a Calton, (I have one for my mandolin- superb but pricey), but I wanted a good sturdy case that would protect the guitar going to practice and gigs. The Gallagher is modeled on the Martin D-28-- pretty much identical with respect to dimensions - the "dreadnaught" size has become a standard, but case makers tended to fudge and over-size, I suppose to accommodate and many makes as possible. This can be a problem.I initially ordered a Gator ABS case. A sturdy enough case in the same price range and light in weight. This didn't work at all as the fit was very loose. The guitar could literally move inside the case in all directions - a recipe for disaster. I returned it the same day as received. (Thanks Amazon).I then ordered the Yamaha case and the guitar fit snugly and securely. Their is more padding and it's softer that the Gator's rigid foam. I am well-pleased with this case and it is a great value for the money. It's not quite as high-end as the Superior cases that my Collings guitar came with, but the Yamaha is also half the price of those and excellent fit and finish. One note - there is NO Yamaha branding anywhere on the case, which is a bonus. I actually love Yamaha guitars and some of the early red label versions are amazing. But I also like having clean and simple lines with no logos.Highly recommended. Buy without fear.

First-tier guitar case for Yamaha dreadnoughts
I'm a beginner, and ever since purchasing my FG-800 I have been tired of rolling up my guitar in an old blanket, with occasional heart drops when accidentally bumping it against things. The AG1-HC case gives me the peace of mind I have been wanting for that instrument.Make no mistake about it, this case is exactly that: a guitar case. It does not pretend or attempt to be anything else. Sturdily built with tight lockup and a solid feel in either position (open or closed). Standard black and polished/plated brass 3+1 clasp hardware with a distinct lack of branding, a feature that may or may not be advantageous to your particular needs. The interior is lined with black interior plush, as opposed to the red/purple 70s-esque variety of other cases, with a large accessory pocket capable of stocking many packs of strings along with pegwinders, piezo pickups, picks, capos and anything else you could possibly need to carry along with your instrument. The lock is the standard style for guitar cases - a simple skeleton-key lock more intended to ensure one clasp stays locked rather than genuine security of the case's contents. This configuration seems adequate for a bumpy ride in a tour bus or an unstable packing configuration, but not enough to survive airline baggage handlers well-trained in the art of luggage destruction.Guitar fitment (at least for the FG-800) is tight, enough so that I was worried that I may need to remove and stow my strap before closing the lid. This doesn't appear to be the case, as the body of the guitar has a certain degree of "float" to it. Overall, once the case is closed and locked-up there is no motion or play from the guitar within.Overall, I would recommend this case for anyone who is looking to protect their instrument and who prefers first-party solutions. The AG1-HC is a sturdy case with a quality build that fits the bill for protecting instruments worth much more than it.

Yamaha AG1-HC Acoustic Guitar Case
This case was for a 52 year old Yamaha FG260 12 String that my wife purchased for me on our 1st anniversary. After 52 years we are still together and I still have the Guitar and it stills sounds great. I needed a good case for it and you came through above and beyond my expectations.I have a couple of Yamaha guitars and will continue my support. Thanks for the great poduct.

Works Well On My Yamaha FG730S
I attached some photos here to show that this guitar case fits just right with my Yamaha FG730S acoustic guitar. The guitar case arrived in a generic box, and inside the guitar case is wrapped up in a big plastic bag with some cushion. Indeed, there's this funky smell upon opening the guitar case for the first time. In my opinion, I believe it's because of the material used inside which feels mainly felt.I know some people won't be able to tolerate the smell. In my case, and I've had this for some time now, all I did was air it out and the smell is not as bad. It does take some time.As for the guitar case, you can see that I've put some stuff in the little storage area. Some picks, a capo, more picks (sarcasm) but you can see the space is decent as long as you don't stuff your whole house in it. My guitar is just about snug. In my own experience, the smell has lessened. I still air this guitar case out specially when I'm using my guitar, I just leave the case open. Hopefully sometime soon the smell would totally go away.I haven't tested it yet for durability. Planning on not to, or maybe when I'm really forced to someday. Like taking the guitar with me on foreign travel. As of this time, the guitar case serves its purpose quite well. Again, this works well with my Yamaha FG730S acoustic guitar.
