This is perfect if you know what you're getting into. This is a mini safe. It's very basic box to increase privacy deter theft by reducing temptation and knowledge of what's in here the first place.How long would this take a trained lock pick to pick this? 5 seconds. How long would it take someone with a good mallet and screwdriver to knock this open? Maybe 3 minutes on a bad day. How long to cut the tether designed to anchor this thing in place? 15 seconds with bolt cutters. It's basically a glorified metal lunchbox. But that's FINEIf you're going to fault it for this, you're missing the point. It's $20 and weighs just 1.5 lbs. If you wanted this to be better then it'd be an entirely different. It lets you tote things around in a way that someone who wants to do you wrong really has to be overtly committed to doing you wrong.It's great for making sure important stuff like a passport or social security card doesn't get thrown away by small children. Or a dodgy (but not incredibly criminal) employee of yours doesn't pilfer your petty cash in a moment of weakness.I will note it gets rather tight on the inside especially with the insert provided, just 5.25 inches in width, barely fits a CD case. The insert pops out and you can get closer to 5.9 inches on the bare metal interior.

A little big for travel but it’ll work. Seems structurally sturdy and keys work easily.

SHOULD I HAVE TO ENTER A FACILITY THAT PROHIBITS MY SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHT TO CCW.THUS I HAVE THIS LOCKABLE BOX BEHIND THE REAR SEAT OUT OF SIGHT WITH THE CABLE WRAPPED AROUND A SEAT ANCHOR THAT'S BOLTED TO THE FRAME. PLACE MY PISTOL IN THE BOX, LOCK WITH A KEY AND I AM THEN IN COMPLIANCE" WITH THE LAW.

Combination lock is faulty. Mine failed while on vacation and I had to pry the thing open to get valuables out. Thankfully it's flimsy enough that breaking in (to get your own possessions) isn't too difficult.SentrySafe support just said return to Amazon.I believe there is a bad batch of these because reviews on other sites show many others have been unable to open the safe after locking, while older Amazon reviews are mostly positive.I'm going to look for a keyed unit next...

So if you’re trying to actually keep something safe this is not that. It’s nice for transporting small valuables or paperwork from one place to another. Keeps things comfortably as long as you place a towel or rag over to add a little extra cushion to prevent rattling or moving. The inside isn’t very high quality. Would recommend.

The safe is well made, and perfect for the price, but if you forget your code to enter, or in my case, the lock malfunctioned, you have to break in it to get your valuables out. The product should be made with a key to get in, I am out the money, but it really is a good product if you have key access, thank you!
