Metra 959311B DDIN Radio Dash Install Kit for 1999-2006 BMW 3 Series and M Series with 1 Opening

I purchased this not for the double din bracket but for the climate control relocation bracket. It is high quality and the finish matches the bmw textured finish that you'll find on the center console or on the original bracket

The finish is really nice (easy to trim without ruining it, it you have to). The head unit is sticks out pretty far and only leaves a small gap from the shift knob on my automatic. Other than that it's a nice unit to relocate your a/c controls at a minimum, fitment is perfect for the a/c and installing/removing is easy.

There were no videos available on this exact part number, so I was relieved when it all went together. There was one question answered on Amazon by the “manufacturer” that said a double din Pioneer unit wouldn’t fit. That coupled with no video bugged me. It’s together except for the final fitment of the head unit. The pair of harnesses and the emergency brake bypass (no longer sold on Amazon - coming from eBay) are said to be arriving tomorrow. That’s the hardest part of course, the wiring. Excellent kit from Metra.

If I needed the entire kit I would have been very bummed since the main frame arrived snapped in half. I only needed the lower mounting bracket though and that did arrive in perfect condition. Install was easy and it looks great in my E46. I used the cigarette lighter position to install a dual USB connection for my head unit and that made the entire install look clean and factory done

I ordered this part for my BMW and almost all the hardware was missing... Was also missing part of the bracket so after install the stereo wiggles about. Absolut junk

Might have to wipe it regularly of dust and particles but overall is a really good product. Affordable and better than spending $80 on the standalone hvac relocation kit. Easy to install as well.

Great kit! I had my local audio shop install the bracket with my new Pioneer DMH-2660NEX 6.8“ and it came out as a perfect fit along with the climate controls , it does stick out a good amount. Overall not bad and I installed a usb extension to fit into the hole the kit comes with so it looks more flush when connecting to CarPlay
