Not what it claims
I am not happy at all with this product. I bought one that was 1/2" thick and when it arrived it was only 1/4"... no big deal I put in for a replacement and it arrived today. Well this is where I get upset. The majority of the rug measure again only 1/4" but because it is a frizzy type of material they they to pass it off as a 1/2" thick rug pad when it isn't. It's not really that plushy for even laying it under the rug does nothing at all. Save your money and go with something better quality from a company that isn't trying to pass off a thinner pad for a thicker one.

Excellent Rug Pad!
I was hesitant purchasing this without any previous reviews, but I took a chance and bought it based on the description. I'm very glad that I did. This is an excellent product. It is as thick as stated (1/2 inch) and made very well. I also purchased a competitors brand for another rug, and in comparison, this rug pad is much better. It's thick, uniform, and provides a very comfortable base for my rug. I highly recommend it.Update 6/9/17 I have had this for almost a year and have added photos today. It has flattened a bit, which is natural, but this rug pad continues to provide a comfortable foundation for my rug. True, it doesn't have a non-slip bottom, and for good reason; many people have wood floor finishes that are susceptible to scratches from rugs that have a non-slip bottom layer. As for the rug slipping, I haven't had a problem with it moving at all. I have furniture on it, so my experience may be different than those of you who don't. I also have an 8x10 rug, which is heavy, so this helps it to stay in place. If you need non-slip and to also protect your floors, I would recommend placing something like the "Gorilla Grip 8x10-Feet Non-Slip Area Rug Pad for Hard Floors" or similar (NOTE: I have NOT tried this brand, it's just an example to look at on Amazon) under this eco-plush rug pad. Personally, I wouldn't use the suggested non-slip pad alone, as it wouldn't provide the lift and cushion that the eco-plush does. However, it would help if you happen to be a customer who is concerned with sliding rugs and protecting your floors' finish while maintaining loft and comfort.

Not As Advertised
This pad is not 1/2 inch. It is not even 1/4 inch. I paid for the shipping to be 2 day for a special event and I am very disappointed. Not as advertised.

Neither ECO nor PLUSH, go w/their FELT BASICS.
I had purchased an 8x11 felt basics pad from this company before and was really pleased so I thought I would upgrade to this ECO plush variant for a few bucks more. What was received was exactly the same as the Felt Basics - not what is described or pictured here. The pad in the pictures in NOT what was received. So...disappointing, yes and no. I wanted the ECO PLUSH variant pictured. It was definitely NOT it. However the rug pad received is still a great product, just not what is pictured or described. Save a couple dollars and go with their felt basics variant - which is what you get anyway when you order this. I do really like the felt basics, I just wanted to be fancy. Not ordering/trying again as I do not want to drag the giant box to ship back a 2nd time. In the end, still pleased, just an inconvenience as I had to return the pad and reorder literally the same 8x11 pad I had just received. In closing, just save the frustration, go with their felt basics pad. 1/2" pad. True dimension. Made a nice difference under my rug. Also, remember, "scratchy" side up, softer side against the floor.

If you are looking for a thick and plush rug pad, KEEP LOOKING!
1/2" inch thickness is very misleading. I expected this pad to give my rug a plush underfoot feeling, it doesn't. The thickness of this rug is very inconsistent. I can measure one part of the pad and its well below the 1/2 inch mark and in other parts its above 1/2 inch. At this price I expected a top notch rug pad. I had already began cutting the pad down to the size of my rug before I really inspected the thickness so now I am stuck with a $120 rug pad that is less than 1/4 inch thick in most areas.

Softest rug pad I’ve ever owned.
This is a very soft, and super plush rug pad that I highly recommend if you want maximum comfort for your feet when walking on your rug. And if you don’t want to worry about any possible chemical or rubber breakdown that occurs overtime with standard rug pads that are anti skid. One thing to note about this pad is that it will not prevent your rug from slipping at all and in fact could cause it to start slipping if it previously did not slip. We use this pad for our rug in the living room and it has enhanced how comfortable and soft the rug feels when standing or walking around the room. It gets a lot of foot traffic but given the weight of the furniture on the rug it never slips except for the corners and edges occasionally. To remedy this we purchased some rug stays to use on the corners to help them sit flat against the hardwood floor. So if your rug is like ours and it never moved around once you install this of it can start slipping occasionally on the edges or corners. One last thing to note is that this pad is cut to spec from the RUGPADUSA website which is 2 inches off each side so it is actually 7’10”x9’10” which is important to know. I made the mistake of not actually measuring my rug, and I didn’t know that it was actually 7’7”x10’... so when this pad arrived I was super excited until I realized I would either have to ship this back or cut off 4-5 inches of heat pressed felt. Minor aside, they say they cut off 2 inches and it’s very close to 2 or slightly less, but I would assume they want to be as accurate as possible without cutting off too much material. I opted to keep the pad and cut 5 inches of material off the side taking my pad from 7’10” to 7’5”, a perfect compliment to my 7’7” rug. While cutting the material I used a combination of kitchen scissors (that need to be sharpened) and a box cutter/razor blade and it was a good amount of work. This is not easy and part of that is due to my tools not being designed for this work. I also had this on a finished hardwood floor, so I couldn’t jam the box cutter into the floor and pull and that still might not have been enough. It’s not that the blade wasn’t sharp, it’s this heat pressed felt material that is incredibly durable and difficult to cut and damage without sharper or better specific tools.I think the price difference and total savings between the RUGPADUSA website and Amazon were less then $10 after applying a 15%-20% off promo code on the RUGPADUSA website. The overall hassle of having to cut my pad was not worth the savings I felt I was getting by ordering through Amazon. The cost of the pad for my custom size from RUGPADUSA would have been the same cost as this 8x10 with promo codes since they would have used less material when cutting my slightly smaller custom size.Overall I love this pad and would highly recommend it to anyone that wants to make their home rugs more luxurious and comfortable to stand/walk on. And don’t forget to double check your rugs measurements!

Thick comfort, easy to trim
At first the shipping time for this product was estimated at about 3 weeks, but it arrived well before the estimated shipping time, which we appreciated very much. It came rolled up in a plastic sleeve and was easy to manage. We had to trim the product to fit our carpet. To do this, we used a measuring tape, a fat Sharpie marker and a sharp pair of scissors. It trimmed up nicely. If you need to trim it, be prepared for a two-person job. Take your time and expect to invest a reasonable amount of patience for the trimming job. You will not get perfect 90 degree angle cuts if you need to trim this underlay, but that is normal with this type of felted product. We trimmed the underlay such that it was about 1 cm shorter all around than the carpet itself. The end result was that the underlay does not show and the edges of the carpet lay flat on the floor. One important point for prospective buyers to be aware of is that this underlay will not prevent the carpet from sliding around on a wooden floor. We used the underlay beneath an area rug that sits under a dining room table. A heavy piece of furniture will help to anchor the carpet and the underlay, but don't expect this underlay to anchor your rug to the floor. It offers thick comfort underfoot and protection for the hardwood floor, which is precisely what we were after. I recommend this product, providing you no not need the underlay to anchor the rug to the floor. Would buy it again.

Does the trick
Was hoping this was a little more "plush" as it really didn't give my fluffy shag the oomph I was hoping for.Anyway it fits well (7' round) and will protect my hardwood flooring.
