I was hesitant because I had read reviews about batteries not being OEM and not lasting. This one is OEM and works great! NOTE> I ran into an issue with getting my laptop to recognize the battery, but this is apparently common and easy to fix. I had a red "X" on the battery charge icon and when hovering over it, it said something like "Battery not installed/recognized", so here's how to fix. With the laptop open, unplug the battery. Hold down the power button for 15 - 20 seconds or more - I believe this dissipates all capacitor charge or something and completely deadens the laptop. Then hook up the battery (don't close up the laptop in case you have to repeat). Fire up the laptop and you should see the battery charging now. If not, unplug the battery again, plug in the power cord, log in and uninstall your drivers for the battery. Power off the laptop, unplug the power cord again and hold down the power button for 15-30 seconds again and repeat as per above. I don't think the driver uninstall is necessary for most folks.

I got this product last May and it ballooned(died)August. Now I will have to buy another one just to replace it. I was given a used/faulty battery maybe.

Battery died after about 10 uses... had it for only 3 months. Complete garbage!

This unit replaced a dead battery I had on my MSI GS70-20D laptop. Everything has worked from the get go, with the battery matching all OEM specs. Don't forget to run the MSI battery calibration tool (as admin), to get it all ready to go after the install.With this new battery, I hope to get several more years of use out of my MSI laptop.

My MSI G70 2OD battery failed (blinking orange light), so I bought this one. Installation was easy (I followed simple directions from a YouTube video), the battery fit without any problems, and the MSI Battery Calibration tool validated it just fine. So far so good.

Battery died in my MSI GS70, so I bought this replacement. Super easy to replace, and this battery works just like when the laptop was new!
