Excellent Basic Remote for KODI
As other reviewers have already pointed it works right out of the box almost. (except for Win, Power, More/Info buttons). I do not use WMC, I've bought it for KODI in Win7. Most buttons work without any tinkering. However there's no button for context menu (c) so you'll have to find a work around. Without going into any register key fuss I opt to install MCERemote add-on and mapped more/info button for the task.Since in my particular set up I don't need WMC I also wanted to use green Win button for starting KODI. (Out of box it starts WMC) One can easily set it by right clicking KODI shortcut and from properties assigning it a short cut key. Then map those key to green button with MCERemote. The last small glitch is arranging an exit button. You can simply find the keymaps file in KODI (C:\Program Files (x86)\XBMC\system\keymaps for Win7) and copy it to %appdata%\Roaming\XBMC\userdata\keymaps. Then edit the file for producing a Quit shortcut key. For example ctrl+s is the default shortcut for taking screenshots. Replace it like that:change <s mod="ctrl">Screenshot</s>to this line:<s mod="ctrl">Kodi.Quit</s>Then again map it to some button via MCERemote. (I've mapped it to Power button)Voilà !!! Now you have a tailor made remote for KODI. Works like as charm.Only downside for me is the built of the remote. It is flimsy and small so the buttons are a little bit tiny for my choice. But again that is a trivial issue. All in all excellent remote for the price.

Great Product! Works Even with My 64-Bit Windows 8!!!
Rosewill for Windows Vista Certified Media center Infrared Remote Control even says it works for both Windows 7 and also Windows 8 along with Windows Vista. Installation was a breeze! One small bitter sweet caveat, is that the print for the included installation instructions are so small, most people with less than perfect eye sight would need a good magnifying glass to read the very tiny print. I would definitely recommend this remote over other less costlier similar remotes for sale, since it is well worth the purchase price with all its latest command features and more sleek and better feel in your hands when operating this remote.

Hope you have small fingers....
The buttons on this remote are so close together!! Most people don't look down at the remote while changing channels and I certainly don't. I found that typical remote use make it difficult because the buttons are so close together. I can't hit "1" without hitting "2" using the remote in a normal way.Luckily, I planned on using the IR receiver from this package with my Logitech Harmony One remote. The pairing works great and allows me to plug in the IR receiver (from this remote) into my home theater PC (HTPC) and control everything with the Harmony One. So for what I needed it for it works great.I ended up using this Rosewill remote (just the actual remote) to control my XBOX 360. There is no setup required and it works great for the few times I use my XBOX 360 for Netflix, Hulu, TV, etc.The buttons on this remote are not backlit so if that's important to you look elsewhere. If you're using this for Media Center, there is a dedicated "HOME" button which is great. By the way, this button also works for starting up media center extender on the XBOX 360.Overall the IR receiver is great and exactly what I was looking for in my setup (small and compact). My complaints would be on the remote itself - it has really close buttons and no backlight. Not a high end product like the Harmony One, but usable if you can get over the cons I mentioned above.

Not Worth Money
I needed something simple to use for my HTPC when watching movies with the wife.I bought this remote thinking it would be an easy way to control our movie without having to use the keyboard.First, this remote is very cheaply made. It is extremely light, the buttons have no feel, and the quality is pretty bad.Second, the remote has so many buttons that getting the wife to use it was impossible. I needed something easy, and this was not it.Finally, the IR function works OK but is extremely outdated.Overall, avoid this cheap remote and go with something better.

Not that great for Netflix
From over a month of use I've found a web browser is much better than Windows Media Center for controlling Netflix. While this remote will control some functions on a browser like Internet Explorer it's nowhere near as versatile as using a mouse.I ended up buying a 10 foot USB extension cord and using a wireless mouse for watching Netflix, way better. My cheap Logitech wireless mouse transmits the last 15 feet easily. This remote now sits on the shelf unused, doubt I'll ever use it again.

Works with Harmony Remote
The remote works straight away. Easy to install driver. No issues so far.BUT... I need it to work all my other components via my Harmony 890 remote. The RRC-126 isn't in the Harmony database. It took a bit of research, but I found it takes the code for the older model remote. I used these settings:Computer / MediaCenterPCCompany: RoswillModel: RHRC-11002The problems I had were the default device setting puts the PC to sleep when hit the off button on the Activity, but once asleep, mine doesn't wake back up to IR commands :( So, I had to disable the Power Off in the settings, set it to Rosewill always ON.The other problem I had using the RHRC-11002 was there's no BACK button or command in it's settings. I had to go to the Learn IR Commands to add that command to the Harmony.I'm not sure what the real differernces are between the RRC-126 & RHRC-11002 are other than the 126 looks better. The other thing this remote is missing is basic Windows commands, Sometime WMC comes up in a small window, there's no command for fullscreen, so you need a mouse. I use RC Trackpad on my iPad for the mouse and keyboard. Great App !!!Other than that , its working fine for me.
