Q: I'm guessing these are Cheap Chinese Crap?

Would I gig with it? not likely-but for a music room jam space it is fine. I have had mine about a year with no issues whatsoever. Sturdy overall, and if one uses the hardware in a mechanically literate fashion there should be no problems. In my experience as a hardware retailer, chinese goods are made to a price point-but once you get past quality control issues-they generally perform as expected. The same could be said for gibson guitars!
