Looks great, bright colors, lacks sound features.
I am happy with this purchase. Overall, this light projector makes for really beautiful, customizable visuals on the ceiling. The nightlight feature with the unscrewable top cover is also very practical and a valuable selling point.I would have liked a pure white noise setting for the noise maker... Some of the sounds provided are a little bit corny and distracting. It would he nice to have some pure white noise by itself.Otherwise, I would gladly recommend this product to a friend.

Star" Projector that has NO Stars!??.
I need to preface this by clarifying my review headline... This product is listed as a "Star Projector", but there are in fact NO stars being projected with this unit. To be fair, it does produce very nice lighting effects that can actually fill a room, but when a similar product describes itself as a "Star Projector" it usually in addition to the aurora lighting generator, has a separate green laser emitter to produce dotted stars in the sky. This unit actually does not have a laser emitter. I am going to assume the seller is using the word "Star" as a generic term, but this is not accurate in this case just to be clear. Now, while no “Stars” are being projected, this lamp does produce a very cool Aurora or Nebula Galaxy effect and due to the design of the lamp housing it can not only project this pattern on the ceiling but also on all the surrounding walls as well. This makes it a little different than the typcial galaxy projector, but it then also takes it another step, by also acting a really nice sort of "lava" or table lamp with the addition of the lens cover attachment. This is definitely different than other projectors I have looked at and this does make this one more unique in that sense. There are background white noise modes that are good at creating a certain mood or atmosphere and this can serve as a good sleep aid for some that need this form of therapy. You can use it for just normal Aurora/Nebula scenery. Sound modes are completely optional as well and may be left off. Again, the lens cover makes this into a very nice table/night lamp which can make this a good choice for a kids room. The hand held remote functions well and gives you the ability to control from a distance. However, there are also tactile buttons on the side of the unit so you will always have the ability to set the mode and turn it on/off if you misplace the remote or run out of batteries. The unit is powered by 5V USB and short USB power cable is included, but NO wall wart power adapter is included. You will have to supply your own, so factor that into your total cost is you dont happen to have a spare USB power adapter around the house.Overall, while this projector does not actually produce "stars", it makes up for that with other unique lighting modes with a cool white noise generator and great table lamp feature. The handheld remote works very well and this is a well built product. At the current listing price of $49.99, it is a touch on the high side, but at the time of writing this there happened to be a $10 coupon offer bringing that down to $39.99, which I feel is more reasonable for what you are getting here. I am giving this a solid 4 out of 5 rating. It is a very good product.. but just not "perfect". This one is certainly worth considering in you are looking for a unique galaxy projector.

Great Multifunctional Projector
I have reviewed about half a dozen star projectors and this one is actually not a star projector as it has no “stars”. It is unique in that it has a lamp shade, which is more than a fair trade. The projector has a small foot print and is mostly plastic. It comes with a remote, which includes a button cell battery, and a USB-C cable (power adapter not included). There are physical buttons on the projector but the remote has all of them plus additional options. The remote does have a bad plasticky smell to it, which was not present on the projector. The projector projects an aurora or northern lights effect that in my opinion is the most stunning of all the variations. The pattern and combinations are simply beautiful and breathtaking. There are 3 aurora modes and with the remote the red, green, blue and white colours can be added or removed to customize the effect as desired. The projector is extremely quiet and the hum when operating can only be heard with my ear right up against it.With the lamp shade, the projector becomes a lamp though it is more ambient lighting and not really enough for reading even at the brightest setting. At a lower brightness, it could serve as a night light. There are two colour temperatures with one being white and other yellow. In aurora mode, it is something like a lava lamp. The shade is easily to take off and put back on.The projector is also a Bluetooth speaker and it works quite well. No issues connecting to my Samsung phone. The sound is pretty good considering that the speaker is at the bottom. It certainly is an improvement over the phone's speakers. It doesn't get extremely loud but good enough for a small room. There are also 6 built-in sounds as well, which are birds chirping, crickets, chimes, water flowing, an upbeat musical piece or a crackling fire.Overall, this is a great multifunctional projector. It has a beautiful aurora effect, a very good Bluetooth speaker and decent lamp/night light. A lot is packed into this one device and I would recommend it.

Multi-function, great lighting
I have reviewed a number of these lamps and one thing in particular I have always disliked is the use of lasers on them. Thankfully, the designers of this didn't put one on it.Its multi-functional capabilities include not just the projections, but with the lampshade attached; a lovely table lamp/night light. Kind of a lava lamp-ish look to it. The colors are nice and the modes, while fairly standard suffer from the same problem as many of these. Some transitions are just literal cuts to the next color which gives off a strobe effect at higher speeds. Not at rave speeds, but still annoying enough. The remote comes with a battery and controls every function. The night light/table lamp settings are a nice addition to the very simple, but beautiful aurora effects. The sounds built in are bird, crickets, water and fire. They are LOUD if you don't have the volume set so do that first. The Bluetooth works fine and the bottom mounted speaker is what you would expect sound wise. The remote is frustratingly line of sight like most and the music mode that uses the external mic....pretty pointless as I had to have the lamp literally right next to my speaker for it to work and it works poorly. At the end of the day though, I like it. It's different than most, it is way more functional and useful and no lasers. Good stuff

Beautiful Array of Vibrant Lights in Motion
I absolutely love it! It's a 4 in 1 night light projector that creates beautiful Northern Lights effect, transform into a night light, produces beautiful white noise music and it has Bluetooth which allows you to personalize your own listening experience/mood. I've always wanted to see the Northern Lights and this makes it possible at anytime and anywhere in the comfort of my own home. I find where and how you place it can make a difference in creating even more captivating movement as the light for example hits the TV and bends in various corners of the walls/objects into different directions of the ceiling. It's spectacular, therapeutic, calming, great for focusing and getting my creative juices flowing. I know my nephew and niece will absolutely love it as well! The night light projector comes equipped with nice secure rubber grips, an instruction manual, Type C USB cable(about 5ft long) and an IR remote control(CR2032 3V Lithum Cell battery included) but if you prefer you can manually control by using the buttons as well. It requires a 5V 2A power input which my power bank was capable of delivering so that increased my portability and placement options. Bluetooth setup was simple(connect to HJ-02) and the speaker quality is sharp/clear even at max volume. I was able to control my music using the controller as well but i wish I didn't have to point directly at the infrared sensor for it to work. The sound activation mode only works in Bluetooth mood and flashes through all the lights and combinations as the music plays; very disco like. The lamp cover creates a night light effect with the option of a warm yellow light(1800k) or cool white light(6800k) which is also dimmable(4 levels). You can even enjoy the beautiful aurora effect with the lamp cover on as well; it's small but still magnificent. A simple rotation releases the lamp cover and you get to explore the 14 lighting effects with the 4 basic aurora colors (red, green, blue, white) which can display separately or as a combo. I personally love playing around with the speed in which the northern lights move or stops completely. The 6 white noise(birds, water, fire crackling etc.) music were super helpful in helping me relax/sleep more comfortably and I added a shutdown timer(1H, 2H) so it was perfect.Overall fantastic 4 in 1 night light projector that the entire family can enjoy visually and audibly. I have a few suggestions like improving the remote controller so you don't have to point directly and a backlit or glow in the dark feature would be great for nighttime. Secondly I would prefer if the power input interface was placed behind the projector so the USB cable isn't dangling in the front to avoid mishaps. Lastly another dimmable level would be great for sleeping since I found the lowest level a bit too bright in my opinion.
