This Holiday doll is what happens when Mattel get everything RIGHT. She is gorgeous. Despite having the same face sculpt, she looks very different from the 2011 edition (though I like that one too). In truth the one I really, really wanted for this year was the brunette, who proved too hard to find at a good price (I have back-collected most of my Holiday subset) but when the blonde arrived I was delighted. Her dress is lovely (especially the silver embellishment, which really sparkles) but what does it for me is her hair, which evokes Golden Hollywood style. I am very lucky to have found a doll with particularly neat curls though; judging from photos I have seen of other dolls, they can be rather flyaway!Her box is also gorgeous (with a tree and presents illustrated inside) and is very much essential to her presentation. Indeed I would recommend keeping her in the box as when removed, her hair tends to flop and without the cardboard reinforcing, her skirt doesn't have much volume. In her box though, she's divine. One of my favourite Holidays.
