This is extremely well made
Yesterday I leaned this against a tree we were felling and forgot to move it. As a result the top half of a 50 year old ash tree landed on it. This thing not only held the ash tree 6 foot in the air but when we finally removed the tree the thing sprang back to straight and still works. I fully expected it to be permanently bent, I don't know what this is made from but it is excellent.

Not a particularly cheap tool but valuable (ZMV4 220 - 400cm telescopic)
I spent most of a weekend using this with a hoe attachment to scrape moss of the concrete tiles on my bungalow roof. At 4 metres extension It just about reached to the ridge from the eaves when standing on a 5-step step ladder on the patio. It was light enough to handle at full extension although it may have been a struggle for anyone not physically inclined. Used with the LMN mini hoe and the BW25M angle broom to scrape and sweep bucketfuls of moss off the tiles. The broom was great for the shape of the tiles but could have done with being a bit stiffer. Now just need to find a long reach sprayer to treat any remnants with something suitable to stop it growing back too quickly.

Not a lot out of reach with this....
To be used in conjunction with other "snap-on" (or "multi-change") WolfGarden products. I bought this to go specifically with the Wolf-Garten RCVM Multi-Change Adjustable Anvil Tree Lopper. There are a number of versions of this - I got the cheapest - c£40 - coupled with this pole at c£30 - there is now not a lot in the garden I cannot reach. The pole is lightweight - and manageable even fully extended. This is NOT to be used when climbing ladders but from the ground or a solid platform. The only fiddly bit is the cord to "pull" and cut the branch - its difficult to roll-up and extend the cord if you have to use different length extensions. It could do with a a spool that gathers the cord up that can then be extended automatically....There's an idea for you Wolf Garten....Good quality -as you'd expect and useful if you have tall shrubs/trees - Not the best for really thick branches (say 20cm+) but a damn good (and probably the best out there) extendable pole with whatever tool you choose to use.....

Excellent tool
Excellent handle very light and strong, even when fully extended. Used with Wolf Garten Pruning saw attachment to remove large branches from my tree with ease.

Essential and unique tool for attaching the high pruning saw and the fruit picker.
I had one of these for 30 years but foolishly kept it outdoors in my tree nursery, in the Northern Irish rain snow and frost. Its internal spring and clip mechanism eventually gave up so I had to buy this new one which is essential for some of the work I do. It is frequently used for high pruning without the need for ladders. The curved saw attachment can easily deal with side branches up to 12cms thick and more in some species. The fruit picker attachment is invaluable even if this is the only thing you ever use and you are lucky enough to have a small mixed orchard of tree fruits. As I am a tall person, I also find the handle perfect for claw cultivation of soil and raking. I use it to rake about 1/4 hectare every spring. I prefer this long handle to the shorter ones that are available. I can make this comparison because I have both the shorter types too but use them for other things, such as inter-row weeding, pond dipping, fish transfer, and attaching a butterfly net.

Good quality worth the money
Been using a ZMV4 for 15 years now and it's done some hard work with a saw attachment, lopper attachment, hook and fruit picker basket and is still in use. Bought the ZMV3 to add to our Wolf range, as easier to have a set of handles and tool ends which take up less room than many individual garden tools, for two professional gardeners. Will last for years, we see Wolf tools from the 1970's at stalls selling antique tools at country shows.
