HP 120W Basic Docking Station KP080AA#ABA

I purchased this product to connect an additional monitor. I had no problem connecting my HP Elitebook 6930p. I like the docking station because it is small and slides out of the way under a ledge on my desk. I would recommend this product to those needing to connect additional monitors and elevating the need to constantly open and close your laptops.

HP docking stations remove the clutter and allow me to hook up everything together. Got a laptop? Tired of looking at a small screen? Tired of hooking up a printer to opne of your ports? Got a laptop with docking station capability? Then get one of these docking stations and do everything in one stop - including adding an external monitor.

It's difficult to give this a rating when the unit didn't even work properly. The unit looked great and fit my computer, an HP 6390p, but never came on. The light showed that a computer was attached to the unit but would not turn on. Was not impressed. Will order another one which will hopefully work. If not, shame on me for trying again. I returned the first unit and now wait on my second unit to arrive.

I'm a network admin and bought this for a user of mine. The price was right on point. It arrived quickly. Set up was a breeze, no drivers to install, just pug in all your equipment, plug in the power plug, slap on the laptop and there ya go! Desktop replacement. Have has several of these deployed and have not had any failures.

Bought 2 neither work. Don't waste your moneyThe computer will power up with the power cord not the docking station and the computer acts wonky when connected. Too expensive to fixWaste of money and hours on the phone with tech support.

This Docking unit allows all connections plus, and conveniently locates them in the rear and on the sides of the unit, makes it much easier to connect externals while keeping the connections from winging to the sides just waiting for someone/thing to bump the side connections causing breakage or knocking the notebook onto the ground (had that misfortune with my other hp- broke the screen, trashed the HDD, and when it made it back from repair- the system just never worked properly again).

Very pleased with this purchase. This docking station is just what I needed and has been a very effective piece of computer hardware.

items works as designed. hp dock for a laptop. easy to pop the laptop out and go on with your day without disconnecting a ga zillion wires
