very interesting and captivating read, must read

Louis Sachar's 'Holes' has steadfastly carried forward my strong affinity for children's/young adult literature and the recurring theme of breaking life down to the absolute basics.I relished this story of survival, as I saw it, across stark and harsh environs (because when is life ever dandy in anyone's perspective). In a time when survival has become almost too 'basic' to be grateful for, I loved reading as this book affirmed the importance of a routine, of gratitude, of knowing how to play your cards, acknowledging when fate guides you, guiding yourself through the rest, and standing firmly on your own two feet, not feeling pressure to always sway in the direction of the wind but to stray in favour of your conviction.These are a few themes I took away, not at all eclipsed by the beautiful structure, and smart storyline(s).

Even though it had a few parts that were pretty hard to read, it is a great book for kids at age of 12-16.

Very Interesting read for all ages

I won't write much about it as I want you to read it for yourself. The plot is full of bends and hidden connections, making it a perpetually exciting book to read.
