Carnation Malted Milk, Chocolate, 13 Ounce

Love the 'malted' taste along with the chocolate taste, tastes great in coffee. I also put it on my cereal to get some flavor out of the 'healthier' cereal's...of course everybody has different taste buds,,,,so you can buy it and always return it==> you have nothing to lose.

When added to milk, the product creates a more complex tasting glass of chocolate milk but I use it primarily when making chocolate malts. Given the choice, when making a milk shake I add malt powder and this chocolate variety adds depth to chocolate or mocha shakes. I admit the powder alone does not create a strong enough cocoa flavor so I continue to add chocolate syrup to suit my taste.The 90 calorie serving size is three tablespoons whether making chocolate milk or a malt. The powder dissolves easily and the taste is so distinctive there is really no substitute. I usually buy the plain malt powder because this one is often not available locally. For people with sensitivities, it does contain milk, wheat and soy. The tub in my prime pantry order has a “best by date” twelve months in the future.

We were finding this at Walmart for several years, but they don't seem to carry it locally. It does make plain milk more interesting, and it can be used to make homemade chocolate milk shakes with ice cream. YUM

We are from the era of hamburger, fries and a MALTED MILK SHAKE!!! Wish the fast food restaurants would grow a brain and start bringing back the malted milk shake--they would make a fortune. My sis has COPD and we do everything to help flavor up her protein drinks. Adding a tablespoon of vanilla Carnation Malted Milk powder makes it flavorful. We also add 2 teaspoons protein/veggie powder and a tablespoon of aloe vera drink, in case someone out there has COPD too and wants to enhance their health. Usually add 1 tablespoon of the chocolate flavored Carnation Malted Milk powder and 1/2 teaspoon sorghum syrup to the chocolate flavored protein drinks. Sorghum has amazing health benefits and I would advise reading about sorghum--those old timers new more about staying healthy than we promote today. To add to the additional powders/syrup to her drinks, I pour the protein drink into a shaker, add whatever I described, shake it well and pour what I can back into the bottle. Any excess she drinks in a separate glass. It works great. Love Carnation products and wish the they would restore the Carnation Company's ice cream restaurant company--I remember what a great place it was to go.

Came on time. A great product I've used in the past. Same great flavor. The perfect accompaniment to milk plus ice cream. Helps make a great malted milk.
