SparcoCash Box, with 2 Keys, 10 Compartments, 15-2/5 x 10-1/2 x 2-2/5 Inches, GY (SPR15500), Gray

My first order i was expecting what was pictured which was the same item I purchased a long time ago. I returned the order. I didn't think these would fit well here. I bought one elsewhere but it was the same item. This new style is actually superior to the old style because the corners are rounded so it is all one piece so that will make these far more waterproof as well as secure for your belongings, These are taller as I illustrated in my pictures. The width is about14 inches. Also the dome cover is larger so you can store more since there is adequate room. The locking mechanism is streamlined which is nice. I wanted to include my measurements to make it easier for the buyer. The cover comes down nicely over the bottom of this box. On the secondary market almost all of the old style there are issues with the locking mechanisms. NOTE: If you happen to buy more than one, please be aware that the key will only work on the box it came with. That is what I thought until i tried both sets of keys. I highly recommend this product.

A great find and durable security. I bought a safe in the past and the colors were limited. Nice green and simple to use. Very satisfied with my purchase!

We use these cash boxes for an annual outdoor fund raiser that raises $40K in 5 hours so things are pretty frantic in the checkout line. We've used other cashboxes without enough slots for bills. This left us sorting through piles of cash to make change. Although these boxes have a large footprint, they are fairly slim which makes them easy to store. Not having a handle on the top allows them to stack solidly.We've tried boxes with clips to hold the bills and found this to be unworkable. Between the limited number of bills that can fit under the clip and the time it takes to secure additional bills, this feature wasn't used. To keep the bills from blowing away, we put a 2" metal washer in each bill slot for the cashiers to put on top to weight the bills down.Now for the downside. I wanted a cashbox with a lid that would stand up for several reasons - to minimize the footprint of the open box, to shield the bills from the customers, and to cut down on any breezes blowing the bills. I ordered 5 boxes. Two of the lids wouldn't stay open right out of the box indoors. The others would close with the slightest breeze or jostling. When they close, they slam down suddenly. Any fingers in the way are going to be very sore. We tried a variety of solutions to hold the lid up securely. Finally, one of our members fabricated a Z shaped metal bracket that can slide under the cash tray and press against the lid enough to hold it safely open. The bracket is small enough to store in the boxes between uses. This is working for us.

The box isn’t what is shown on the picture. The one i need does not have a handle on top so it makes stacking as problem. The box also falls open it doesn’t stay up to keep people from seeing what you have inside the box. I need it’s to be just like the one shown.

As advertised. Lock works fine. There's room to put a few pages, etc., under the till. Plastic bill holder doesn't have the best fit in the metal box, but it's pretty good. Metal box opens to lay flat. There isn't a catch, so if you don't lock it, you have to hold it while carrying it.

solid enough for my purposes. I wouldn't use it as a strong box. a determined person could easily get into it while locked, but then they would also have to find it-lol. just a place to keep cash for specific things, and to keep separated, and out of sight from our everyday needs.

The lock doesn't work, the steel is so thin you can bend it with a screwdriver. Do not trust the 5 star reviews like I did. This is the single biggest disappointment I have ever had shopping at Amazon. Its not that I don't like it, it's that it's complete crap. I will be calling the producer tomorrow to let them know what I think of this horrible product. That's how angry I am. Do not put money or valuables in this box, you are asking to be robbed. Very angry, Amazon contact was very helpful. Amazon please contact the producer this product should not be sold on your sight and I am pretty sure they are paying people to put good reviews up for this thing because that's the only way it would get one.

It is a basic metal cash box with a removable insert. Read the measurements carefully if location or size will be an issue. It comes with 2 iffy-looking keys that do work but I wouldn't say they are going to last forever. The removable insert's individual bill slots are perfectly sized. We keep this hidden in a drawer until we need to use it - which is fortunately not that often in this cashless society. However, unless you have it tethered or permanently fastened to a surface, it is a very slippery metal box! Every time we close and lock it inside its home, it slides around inside the drawer where we have it placed during the work day, making it difficult to lock or unlock quickly because it "runs away" from you and you don't want to pull out the entire thing in front of the customer. I solved that pretty quickly with one of those rubberized shelf liners from any dollar store or kitchen department in a big box store. Cut it to size, tape it on the bottom and the box doesn't move. This box is a good value for what we needed.
